Women back then had no choices I’m happy you think that’s better for men and children but not women.
Everyone coming out to have more kids it’s not because they care, they need more laborers to add to the SSI program.
Try removing taxes and pay women more and not penalize them for taking off when they have children.
In Denmark we get taxed over 50%. I can barely pay for a family with 120k income before taxes.
I try so hard to set money aside, let my gf work less but we just can’t. We have a mortgage but it’s way below average amount.
To those saying I don’t have financial responsibility, this is not America. Everything costs a shit ton here.
The inflation, taxes is killing us.
The lower income people get more money paid out than me here, middle class is killed.
My gf friend, works like 50-60% employment, she gets like 1000 DKK less paid out than full time employed nurse girlfriend. Insanity
Once more we see society blame each other at the bottom
when the reason many are deciding not to have children call for pointing the finger at the invidious who make living in this place a hell hole to keep up with both mentally and financially
For my wife and me, remaining childfree has allowed us to focus on our passions, maintain flexibility, and embrace opportunities that might not have been possible otherwise. We’ve built a life that brings us immense contentment in our 50s, and it hasn’t required raising children. Different people will naturally choose different paths, and recognizing that variety is a key part of understanding the many ways we can lead fulfilling lives.
Yes. The current economic climate doesn't help and people are working to get by. Some don't want to get by. They want to enjoy life.
If you get your joy from kids. Good on you. If I get my joy from my cars or having life experiences. Good on me.
We're not hurting each other for either choice. Worry about yourself.
We wanted to expand our little coaterie and take him/her around the world with us.
