That Okami sequel announcement came out of nowhere and from all the announcements on this list and even stuff like The Witcher and Borderlands, Okami is the one I'm most excited about!
The original was something really special. I remember being a kid and,i believe it was my uncle, who at the time was buying game magazines ,got me a disc titled "Okami". What is it,is it even a game? (pirated console games were a thing back then,yes).
And maaaan, the game just blew me away. It was the prettiest thing I've ever seen on my good old PS2. The story was so fresh, every scene looked like a painting and using brush techniques in a combat really spiced up the usudal button mashing. And i got the game at a time when i borrowed my memory card to my cousin so my console was running for days because i couldn't save the game and i didn't want to loose my progress. Good times.
