The college football playoff snubbed Alabama and two other SEC teams picking SMU, Indiana and Clemson got in with an automatic. SMU got destroyed and it was clear that early on that Alabama was a much better team. Alabama had an amazing weekend in the transfer portal. They added three players including Kam Dewberry, (OL–Texas A&M), Isaiah Horton, (WR–Miami) and Nikhai Hill-Green, (LB – Colorado). Mick takes a look at weekend in college football and Tuscaloosa.

The first round was set up to make sure certain teams didn't have a tough time getting to the next round with no real pushback . The way this second round is set up we might end up getting a all big 10 championship game and if that happens Greg Shankey deserves the blame

Here’s an idea, how about if we drop the auto-bids and just seed in the straight-up top 12 teams as determined AFTER the conference championships? That way it rewards any bubble teams that win their way into the conference championships with a chance to improve their resume without obligating the committee into taking a fluke champion.

Clemson (Dabo) let off the gas in the ACC CG to make it close so bama would be left out, Clemson almost blew the game and after the first week of playoffs there’s NO ACC team left, seems to me Dabo Swinny is partly responsible for the terrible play this weekend

The way Milroe played at Tennessee and at Oklahoma is the way he would’ve played at Notre Dame or at Penn St, when you have argue Bama being the 12th best team just let it go and be glad we didn’t get to watch our team stink up a road playoff game.

We need another system than a bunch of people that really know nothing about what the strength of schedule means. We don’t need a committee that has no clue. We need another type of system.
Alabama, Ole Miss &
South Carolina should have all 3 been in the playoffs. The games I think would have been a hell of lot better…!

Seems like Indiana would go 10-2 in the almighty SEC

Seems like Bama and Gamecocks fans are quietly happy they didn't get in to the CFP. PSU and Notre Dame would have whipped you just like Ohio State beat Tennessee

I totally agree with you, that committee is full of Buffoons No Doubt. They Obviously Don’t like Alabama, so Jealous of them and again, their Pathetic Picks showed their flaws. SMU No Way deserved to be included. Indiana I’m Ok with them being in the playoffs but No Way SMU should have

Rooooooooooll Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide Mick, Well I feel that this Playoff Bracket will be expanded not to long from now, I wouldn't mind, especially Once the Pac-12 is once again a fully rebuilt Conference that that with a re expanded Playoff Bracket should give automatic Playoff entry to "Every" Division-1 FBS Conference Champion, the SEC, Big-10, Big-12, ACC, Pac-12, MAC, MWC, AAC, C-USA, SBC, they do it that way in Division-1 FCS, Hell it couldn't be looked at as a worse Idea than what We saw Yesterday out of SMU, who hardly showed up against Penn State, and I believe they only got in cuz Clemson's Dabo Swinney stumped for them on the Field in His Post Game Comments right after beating them in the ACC Title Game, all to get a Second ACC Team in and boot the Alabama out and the Ignorant Committee bought into His "Cry Me A River" Speech, Swinney still has animosity towards Bama cuz He was passed for the Tide Job once Gene Stallings Jr Retired, but I feel We'll Be put through the same SMU like pathetic turnout from Boise State and ASU, but 10-1 Army Won the AAC Title and was never given a look for Playoff ... say whatever You want of My Idea but again, it couldn't be a worse than what We saw with SMU and what I feel We'll See from Boise State and ASU, it's like Cincinnati in 2021 and TCU in 2022 ... There were no 4th quarter games and the Big 10’s 3rd place team destroyed the SEC’s 3rd place team. The good was the country witnessed the 12 best teams were not selected for the playoffs. Strength of schedule means something.
