I respect Justin for his interview for discussing the true version of the film on DV
Were you there for the whole interview? Maybe she did but never made into the Final Cut. Be realistic, Blake and Ryan is the star; media and the people in general are only interested in them. He should be grateful Ryan is helping promoting this movie for free.
If Justin is the pivotal character alongside Lively they should be promoting this movie together. When they are not promoting togther it kindve takes SOME of the urgency, importance away
Honestly, couldn’t care less. I didn’t even know Justin before this movie and dont really know about Blake. The movie was good. Let’s move on to the next.
It’s giving white women scared .
Justin seems like a nice guy who is very professional. It looks like Blake was trying to be controlling, and while Justin most likely listened to her feedback/input, he ultimately is the director and has the final say on creative decisions. She needs to leave her ego at home and be a professional.
seems like a week man who can't handle a strong confident woman
Or maybe they agreed Justin would speak about something’s more serious and because of Blake’s persona they hiked up the OTHER VALID parts of the film that aren’t about DV ?
It’s not normal for a dude who’s not acting in the movie or producing the movie to insert himself in the film because his wife is the star. I can sense that this is the source of the tension and Black and Ryan are “leaking” these stories to the press to control the narrative. Yikes!
After watching the youtuber "Kjersti Flaa" interview with Blake Lively that she just posted…I am so team Justin!
Justin Baldoni is seriously committed to raising awareness about domestic abuse and wanted him movie to have some semblance and sanity. Blake Lively bought in her husband and deadpool editor to butcher the director's vision and make a movie which Justin didn't want. We all say we must believe women and we must, here it is extremely evident who cares for the cause and who is doing it for business. Just wait for the sequel directed by blake and you will see it will be worse than the worst lifetime/hallmark movie ever made about domestic abuse.
Blake Lively hasnt grown up from. Still the same Serena van der Woodsen. Look at her fashion promoting the film. Isn't it obvious .
Just got back from seeing the movie and it's wonderful! All this gossipy speculation is just that. Actors are people, and people in general are messy. Enjoy the product, and mind your own business about their personal lives!
So you source a book, buy the rights, write the script and then a costar and her husband starting making demands about music and totally taking credit for writing an “iconic” scene.
Wow you need to take you husband with you to work 🙄
Blake and Ryan have given me the ickkk since it was published they married in a slave plantation. That says everything about them tbh
Promoting her brand and husband movie and glomourise a movie about DV just for having her barbie moment is disgusting
It's a DV movie; why are so many clowns not seeing the distance? It was strategic.
It is her movie right and it’s domestic violence and romance tooo…. Stop putting them down …maybe they have their differences but Justin directed it well and Blake and his chemistry was crazy … I do wana see Blake and other actor too so stop it
Probably PR for the movie!
It’s giving tone deaf.
The drama is in the movie…and it's done ..nobody has to b best friends…it's work.,What is wrong with a couple who supports each other…..I've heard her giving activist speeches ….
I kinda think they are leaning into the drama behind the scenes for better ticket sales. I do think everyone on the cast is siding with Blake because ultimately she is the bigger star and the box office draw, but I appreciate that Justin isn’t sugarcoating the message of the movie and that he’s still respectful towards the cast. And I can’t imagine having to pull double duty, directing and acting as a lead, and on top of that, the star and producer of the film, trying to take creative liberties with the direction of your film when Justin clearly wanted to do a melodrama about DV and Blake just sees this movie as a romantic love triangle film.
Another don't worry darling. Blake is trying to ruin Justin and film. Its wrongly being marketed as a rom com
Imagine your husband coming to a movie and writing for said movie. Blake & Ryan are the problem
As much as I love Blake and Ryan, they do not need to be so involved in each others projects.
Justin bought the rights to the story over 2 years before Blake was casted and hired to co-produce.
Blake allowing Ryan to rewrite parts of the story and making any calls over Justin during filming is disrespectful to him and kind of self absorbed.
The still photo of him, wearing 👓 is HOT!!
This is an example of what one rogue opinion sways the whole world, somebody posted what they speculated about what happened and it off to races not one person from that film has said one word. The truth whatever it is will never be heard. The author of the book was there, if she felt liberty was taken with her script or screenwriter disapproved, it would have been duly noted.
They do have different beliefs also, Blake is best friends with Taylor swift and we know where her beliefs are and where she stands on politics. That could have something to do with it, a lot of actors won’t film or associate with other actors because of their beliefs, take Mark W for instance.
Justin Baldoni read the book, got his production company to prep to film it, directed the movie and casted the actors.
How Blake and Ryan got so involved? They can't be directed without getting involved?
I guess they have become a marketing force and nobody dears to say no to them, which is why the cast may have felt scared to side with Justin or at least say no to Blake.
Look at how everybody was dressed for the premiere, that clearly was Blake's direction…controlling colors and clothes patterns/sizes of all actors showing up to the premiere? Crazy! She's a mean girl…
Watch the cast video interviews, it's all about Blake!
She looks great and has an eye for fashion but her mean girl energy is a no-no.
it's a movie about domestic viol33nce…it's being marketed by Blake as a girly girl sparkly movie
If he body shamed her like sources say then he is not this brand he has been selling for years. Wouldn’t be surprised if his wife also contributed to this, she seems like someone who would shame another woman for her weight.
Is this going to be like “Don’t Worry Darling” behind-the-scenes drama?!?
I dislike Blake. She's acting like this is a Barbie movie with her cutsie floral outfits and press answers. She has been also super open about admitting she's a control freak who 'can't keep her hands off the details' and it makes sense that she & Ryan got involved and got into a conflict with the director. I like Ryan, I think he's naturally funny but he's really overdone the whole self depracating shtick too. I hope we see less of them after this movie & DP blow over
Although I did not read the book, I know domestic violence is a big part of it and noticed they're not discussing that during promos. Why? Seems you would want the film to have some substance beyond romance, and that's such an important topic. Also, yes, it's obvious Blake and Ryan hijaked the creative process/directing. I don't blame Justin for feeling put out. But maybe he did something to make them feel they needed to.
