Still need to play Astrobot. But that’s very fitting to see it win goty, since this generation seems to be dominated mostly by remakes and sequels of big AAA-narrative IPs.

I haven't played it but watched my 7 year old son play Astro Bot with the same joy and zeal that I had when I played PSX, PS2, etc.

Wukong/Stellar blade > Silent Hill and Helldivers IMO.

Only 38K people actually bought wukong and a tiny fraction of THAT got the first easiest trophy you could obtain.

Astro Bot: 1.5 million copies sold/ $90 Million in revenue

Black Myth Wukong: 10 million copies sold in 3 days (PS sales were 20% so 2 mil copies)/ $1.2 Bil in revenue. $240 Mil on PS5

Astro Bot did NOT deserve GOTY. The numbers literally show it. Anyone who can't see that Sony paid for that win is willfully in denial

Stellar blade and Wukong were both excellent but extremely difficult.

For me 2024 was a gap year. My most played game was Tomb raider 1-3 remastered which tells you everything about the year tbh

Astro bot is a great game ..but wasn’t game of the year …..black myth working and ff7 rebirth is much better and tons more content ..smh

Astro bot is an excellent game. No performance issues. A family platform that deserved the considerations and if black myth didn’t have there own performance issues they are still working on. I want more games similiar to Astro , my only criticism would be I wish it was a couch co op option to play with my family.
