2Unreal5Underground is a fan-made project that aims to remaster the popular 2004 video game Need for Speed: Underground 2 using Unreal Engine 5. This project was originally initiated on Unreal Engine 4 but has since been upgraded to Unreal Engine 5 to take advantage of the newer engine’s capabilities.

The team behind 2Unreal5Underground, primarily a duo of developers, has been working on this remake to bring a modern touch to the classic racing game. They’ve focused on improving various aspects of the game, including enhanced physics, car performance, and visual effects. The remaster is designed to stay true to the original game while incorporating new features like improved aerodynamics, updated car customization options, and advanced lighting and particle effects.

Ea needs to leave it alone. Everything they touch is complete garbage and they cant be upset that someone is actually doing something we all want. Dont hop on it someone else will and clearly has. Thank you to the people making it happen

EA killed NFS World, then the fans made Soap Box World (so maybe there is a chance that they don't shut down this U2 Remake)

I will also add that, even though it is only 2 people working on the game, modern game engines can help one developer do the job of many. So they will be able to make heaps of progress between the two of them. Seeing that it is free, and they don't intend to make money from it, I don't think it should be an issue. However, some companies' greed runs deep, so you never know. I do hope for the best though!

If EA shuts this project down, they should just change it slightly to avoid copyright, and release it as a new game, just as Bloodborne kart did

As a 38 year old man I can admit when I was 19-20 I would call in sick to work to play this for days on 360 💯

How is Underground 2 "difficult too run without installing mods"?! Just put in the CD, install and it'll run with no issues whatsoever on Windows 10! 😂
And besides the one and only Most Wanted, it's the only classic Need for Speed that just works on 10, all the others have stupid DRM getting in the way!
