We’re just days away from Space Engineers 2 being properly revealed, and we’ll be learning critical details like the Early Access Release date. Hopefully, the upcoming Keen Software House Development presentation will also showcase insight on what we can expect in the Alpha Stage of Early Access – as it looks like Planets will not be present.

from the perspective of a player made weapons SE player, I would like to see more logic blocks and a more user friendly interface for linking logic (Starship EVO is a great example, and Storworks to) and logic actions, like "and", "or" "if" conditions, and more read parameters (eg: degrees above or below the horizon, distance to the waypoint, etc.)
Honestly, its probably just wiring.
But with that, maybe powerlines? 😮
i'v stop buying games that do loads of DLCs, keen is one of the devs that like to do that, so for that reason alone i'm not buying this game. i'm done paying year in and out for new content.
I used to watch you back in 2017 when I had my old yt account and was just teenager with no money or pc man this was such a throwback to see you pop up on my fyp man hope you have been well !
They probably never intended for the cable to be anything more than decoration, but now they have to do something with it or there will be some community outrage.
What I want for Space engineers to is a way of engineering my own power systems instead of just plopping down a block and getting power out of it I want to engineer something.
Imagine the collective hearts sinking when Marek says no the cable is just decor…
В нашем веке подключение кабеля выглядит странным и диким, думаю в SE делать кабели разного рода будет как шагом назад, в каменный век. Вопрос покупать или не покупать не возникает, когда это касается SE, однозначно куплю.
Im going to speculate also a grappling cable on ships for fast floating ships
I thought I heard at one point we would be able to port over our blueprints. Do you think this is a possibility? I would hate to rebuild some things from scratch or reverse engineering them. Going between two games like that would be intensive.
At 8:42 roughly, there is a countdown on the little blue ship, any ideas
So you dont know nothing and recycle one video and informations what we have again and again. Video is called more Details from SE 2. Where are this details?
The cable is a psyop. Keep your eyes on the target lads.
The cable/tether was on my list of things they should add to SE. The iconic space walk always had it etched into my mind, as just something that should be present in a space building game. Giving it some utility, transfer power, gases, computer hacking, or building cables would extremely useful.
Can we have a more alive game? Sometimes I feel very lonely on my world. I like the way looking at ships from outside that are just doing some random stuff. I know: currently we can do this with ai blocks but its so complecated to setup. can you make it more easier and make it feel more alive?
I just realised: if the Grid is now unified, does that mean no more clang? will we finally be able to build doors and elevators without fearing it tearing our ship appart, and perhaps such things be blueprintable? very excited for what is in store!
Space Engineers has to be by far the most value per dollar spent of all Steam games
What if they add something like the build vision mod and the cable is a data cable you attach to blocks instead of controlling them thru space magic
the cable fever is spreading even more
I'm definitely one of the "more focus on engineering" people and have been p vocal about it. Hopefully this game recenters on that and doesn't drift away as much. That said the actual number one no-compromise condition for me is the same level of or even better support for mods. There's no excuse for a PC game to not have mod support in 2024 except greed. If they try to lock out modders to monetize every little thing, push their own mod platform like Bethesda, or somehow end up an Epic exclusive then I'm out and I hope a lot of others will be as well.
SE 2's partial grid copying and section blueprinting feature implemented for SE 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0S-wIaIZ80
Will this kill SE1?
Am just happy we get a new one, as the old starts to look really dated. I belive the cable is when you use medical bay that lok into the medical bay and refill oxygen and hydrogen to the suit. Also about it only being creative i think yo uall are wrong. we have seen medical bay/refineries/asscemblers/ship drills/ reactors just in the 2 most reason videos. i belive we have survival good to go rigth out the door.
I think the cable is a tether for EVA
I still use animated Interactions and it does indeed still work
A few things I'd like to see added over the long term in addition to all of what is in SE1, is better character creation, suit modules to upgrade power,o2, h2, armor, a better UI, and finally green spaces that are build able in meaningful ways on both grids and terrain.
I want to garden in space in my ship.

Ironically, Space engineers 1 (the first early access game I ever bought) burned me so bad I vowed never to buy early access again. I loved the game but there were tons of really scummy things keen did that opened my eyes to how bad early access is.
Ill be waiting for full release a decade from now.
That said I hope the game is still relevant then! Id love to play with everyone.
We will see it tomorow. I bet it won't be a similiar experience as the Space Engineers Early Access. Or do you remember your last involuntary sacrificial offering to the mighty Clang because in this weeks patch the connectors were bugged again.
Capt. Jack. Dont worry about 'speculation'. Compared to your YouTube competitors you dont mislabel your video titles, and you say upfront in your videos you are speculating, so all good.
We got SE2 before GTA6
I look forward to NPC AI actually working. Give us smart spiders/dogs, not ones that attack a little bit then run off.

So just to be clear: I have 6000+ hours in SE and an mindblowing experience on servers, but if EA from SE2 is not at least 75% of the total features SE1 has, i'll skip it. Dont get me wrong, the other 25% will take more than 1 year after EA launch and SE2 main scope is to be better than SE1. No bugs, no klang, stable experience etc.
I like to have that they work on les ram needed to run servers for it
Ой да хватит обсасывать одно и тоже, одни и теже кадры, сколько можно?
I hope the cable is for hacking computer systems. Maybe a mini game that you have to do in order to take control.of a block.
the cable could plug into survival kits or med bays to transfer hydrogen and oxygen
Ngl something I'd like them to add is a directional shield (like a flat wall you can "project out" from a block in 1 direction per with x amount of hit points and upgrade parts) if something like that was added into late game it'd be amazing as most people build self repairing weapon mountings already and I've seen self repairing armour set up too for late game ships so I just think it could be a way to cater to the people who want to make brawling ships while not being too out of place (hence directional only. I feel like shields that protect an entire ship wouldn't be a great idea for the base game)
Edit: could explain it away as some magnetic shield that only stops kinetic attacks (meaning other weapons types could be viable if they add lasers and also player built missiles could go through adding more viability to custom missiles) also it'd obviously be extremely power intensive
I love the new hand drill model! anyway, is Space engineers 2 a new game, or an update?
Given that, during the trailer/teaser, the voice over talks about the new 25cm grid technology (in lore), it sounds like there is some advancement in how you build. Not wielding but live-printing the blocks instead.
I don't think this is creative mode. Think about it. (Dual universe is similar)
I would like to see better engineer on engineer combat
