Vampire Survivors is a 2022 roguelike shoot ’em up video game developed and published by Luca Galante, also known as “poncle.” Following an early access period that began in December 2021, it was released for macOS, Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Android, and iOS in late 2022. A port for Nintendo Switch was released on August 17, 2023, and on August 29, 2024, a port was released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
In the game, players control an automatically attacking character while battling continuous waves of monsters, aiming to survive the onslaught for as long as possible and unlock additional characters, weapons, and relics for future sessions. Despite the game’s title and key art, none of the encountered monsters are vampires.
Vampire Survivors received accolades at the Golden Joystick Awards, New York Game Awards, and D.I.C.E. Awards. The game was nominated in five categories at the British Academy Games Awards, winning two: Game Design and Best Game.

Vampire Survivors is an action roguelike game developed and published by indie developer Poncle. The game was originally coded using HTML5 and was released on itch.io as a browser game for free on March 31, 2021. Nine months later, the game was released on Steam for Microsoft Windows under early access for $2.99 on December 17, 2021, then it had a price change to $4.99 on September 22, 2022, and shortly after, the 1.0 release of the game was out on October 20, 2022.
