Coyote wouldnt even take a bite from a tarantula yet these guys did they have bigger balls then him for doing this.
Even coyotes director mark Vince took 2 bites from tarantulas and didnt overreact as much as coyote does for most of his.
It may not be too unsafe for them to experience the bite of the gila monster, which is another lizard that sprang to mind when watching the show. If they think the Nile monitor was troublesome for hanging on, the gila monster is notorious for it; they hang on so tenaciously that killing it by forcibly striking it against something is often the only way to get one off (which wouldn't make for pleasant viewing). If one knows about such animals, it's obvious that these guys are only testing relatively harmless species.
Some notable creatures I suspect will never be on their list are the stone fish (known to cause a wound that can take up to a year to heal - if the victim survives the venom), the box jellyfish (no known antidote and capable of causing death in a matter of minutes), and the...wait for it...duck-billed platypus! The males of the latter species have a venom that is so potent that its purpose remains a mystery to scientists i.e. it doesn't eat anything that needs to be killed with its venom, feeding itself on worms and shrimp by rooting about the riverbed; it isn't the prey of anything against which it would need the venom to defend itself; and while the males' venom production rises during the breeding season, it is unnecessarily potent for the purpose of mating displays of dominance. The platypus sting would be especially suited to the 'Pain Kings' as it is of type that causes increased sensitivity to pain that can persist for months !
