so it only took A WHOLE YEAR for sony to drop a feature that phones have since EVER and now you can play them in your xbox or steam deck.

The portal was always fire from day 1 especially if you have kids.. it's crazy to see people just randomly completely switch up to now loving or wanting a Portal... straight bandwagoning.

I only want to be able to play my disc games since i dont want to bither with a subscription. Will it be able to stream my ps4 games to the portal? E.g. bloodborne. Thanks for the video

The new black limited edition one looks sweet! Although im an original PlayStation guy from 90s this 30th anniversary stuff is nice love the grey but the portal not so much looks way nicer in the white i think

It looks really nice, but it’s still not worth it. $200 to cloud stream games, and you NEED the premium PS+. It’s just a wasted product unless you have money to throw away

I hated it too and sent it back immediately shortly after release. Let's be honest, the new Portal was very bad when it came out. I thought it would be a flop. The limited edition looks really great.

Now my question is, can you play ESO on it and still have access too my account? Had to sell my PS5 and other things because of financial hardship, because of hurricane Helene, i'm hoping this would allow me to play ESO because the portal is a cheaper purchase option?

The new update allows you to not have a PlayStation at all. Only a PlayStation network account with premium membership and a decent Internet connection.

I got one as I was also swayed by the 30th Anniversary colours if nothing else. If you have decent internet and your PS5 is wired in you should have a good time with it. 10 years ago I used to work in Stockholm, Sweden Monday to Friday and fly back to the UK every weekend. I used to use remote play on my Vita to play my PS4 back then and rarely had issues (hardwired at home and superfast internet in Sweden). I completed many games through remote play alone and other than having to use the rear touchpad for certain controls it worked incredibly well. I was completely sold on Remote Play even all that time ago. I have used the laptop Remote Play app with my PS4/PS5 controller wired in recent years if working away, and still had a nearly flawless experience but I have found if you are out and about it must be proper wifi. Mobile networks have too much interference and speed fluctuations if trying to use a mobile hotspot. It may say 5G and have a speedtest result over 100MB but I guarantee it will lag like you are on 10MB if it even connects at all. My only other wish for the Portal is if it connected to the PS4 as there is no reason it would not work.
