great machine, but prime is on 12 – 14 month lead time, this is just ridiculous for any medium/small consumer, I can't understand why they don't scale up their production

Thanks for these reviews, much appreciated. Could you please elaborate the main differences between the combo and the single extension/curl pieces, as mentioned in the end of this video? All the best and thanks again for these informative videos!

year later how you liking it?

@freshman-og4dp December 10, 2024 - 5:20 pm

Why did you not consider the weight stack version? Was it because of the weight limit that you can put on the machine? Usually the weight stack ones are more stable than the plate loaded version of most machines on the market i believe?

I like Hammer Strength equipment a lot as well for this price point.

@michaelsofine December 10, 2024 - 5:20 pm

Haha the first gym I worked out in didn’t have a 35 and when I finally saw one I was like what is this!? They are uncommon for sure.

@michaelsofine December 10, 2024 - 5:20 pm

What’s the lead time on their products? I don’t think it’s ideal for home gym but nice if you did have a commercial gym.

@michaelsofine December 10, 2024 - 5:20 pm

That’s so cool, it folds down!

@TrailerHitchRVCenter December 10, 2024 - 5:20 pm

$5000

@Docmcfly233 December 10, 2024 - 5:20 pm

Is it worth the price currently at around $4500… I can afford it but idk if it is worth and maybe I should just buy a cheap selectorized option, my total gym has cost 5000 this would basically double my spending in one purchase. I have limited space so I have no machines or cables at the moment.

@praisegodfirst2648 December 10, 2024 - 5:20 pm

Nice, what about the weight stacked one…pls make a review of it

@mcgKW December 10, 2024 - 5:20 pm

They should make a plastic thing at the entrance of the seat slots or whatever you called it so it's more stable.

Stellar product perfect review

With the way that the ankle pad attaches (single attachment point), other machines have a ton of flex. Does the ankle pad flex on this one?

@drew6167 December 10, 2024 - 5:20 pm

Great camera work in this video!

@arkham5018 December 10, 2024 - 5:20 pm

Would you go with this one or the hybrid unit with the selectorized stack after having this one? Also, what’s the widest and longest measurement of this one?

@Logan-kb5yu December 10, 2024 - 5:20 pm

I got one of the early units, it looks like there’s a few changes they made since then. One thing I didn’t like was not having enough adjustability on the ankle pad up/down. In a personal training setting I had people in between 2 of the 3 adjustments. I ended up drilling 2 more holes for the pop pin to latch onto.

I like this concept of being able to change the resistance profile. Have you tried plates on position 2 and 3 together or would that make it like position 1?

@MetalsForBrunch December 10, 2024 - 5:20 pm

awesome machine but I would go with the weight stack version of this. love the combo for this machine.

@mrb14k December 10, 2024 - 5:20 pm

Another great review, Jay! So ready to see the Prime Fitness Prodigy HLP Selectorized Rack vs. Functional Trainer comparison! Any hints as to when we might expect it?

@juliansvt8621 December 10, 2024 - 5:20 pm

Awesome review man! What was the lead time for this machine?

@danielparker5834 December 10, 2024 - 5:20 pm

Exactly what I asked for! Thank you 🙏

@ottawafrank December 10, 2024 - 5:20 pm

Some plate loaded machine really fall short on the "weight profile", as in there is very little resistance at the bottom of the leg extension and then its very heavy at the top. Do you feel like the prime with its 3 weight horns fixes this issue for both the leg extension and leg curl? Does the resistance feel as good as on a dedicated cable+weight stack machine?

Well done initial review.

I was debating whether to get this machine but ended up getting incline press instead. The wobbliness is rather disturbing! I hope the incline press isn't wobbly too!
