We all get pigeonholed in our jobs. My first job in nursing school was as a nurse tech in an ER. After I became a nurse, I was pushed towards the ER and I tried for 10 years to get out of the ER and no one would ever let me. They would tell me, “but that’s all you’ve done so we don’t think you can do anything else”. So I left nursing. FU.
