Talking about 1991 and not mentioning arguably the biggest band on the planet then, is a crime
Long live GN’R
How the hell is 1967 not here. First thing it was THE year of memorable debuts. The doors, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Velvet Underground, The Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, and David Bowie. There are also so many songs like strawberry fields, respect, light my fire, purple haze, happy together. It was the best year for music.
You mention 1984 and DONT mention VHs 1984??
This video is not meaty enough for its own topic. As mentioned in many comments already you left out years of music as well as failed to mention acts from years you did feature. If it’s worth doing it’s worth doing right. No more half ass videos about good music watch mojo
1971?
Zep 4
What’s Going on
Master of Reality
Meddle
LA Woman
Blue
Tago Mago
Hunky Dory
Surfs Up
Sticky Fingers
Maggot Brain
The list goes on…
No 2012?
1966? 1983?
I’m guessing 1967, 1971, 1977, 1984, 1987, and 1991 before watching
1997 Is a Perfect Year For Music
Blur
Dig Your Own Hole
Be Here Now
Butterfly
Fresco
White On Blondie
Fush Yu Mang
This list was fucking awful
What about 2000? Because it had great songs from Emimen, Robbie Williams, Madonna (except her cover of American Pie), U2, Melanie C, Anastacia, Coldplay and Kylie Minogue.
For me it’s either 1969 or 1997…
1969: abbey road, in the court of the crimson king, hot rats, in a silent way, the velvet underground, Townes van zandt, five leaves left, hot buttered soul, karma, scott 4, led zeppelin…
1997: ok computer, either/or, the lonesome crowded west, homogenic, dots and loops, the mollusk, f#a#, uchu nippon setagaya, perfect from now on, the velvet rope, around the fur…
1991 was an extremely strong year definitely top 4 bare minimum , I wouldn't put 1999 on here but It was the last good year for music imo.
2001 has no business here It was average at best , and honestly no post-90s year was ever strong again , after the 90s all music drastically declined declining In every major genre , but I do feel 1994 was arguably the second strongest year of the 90s and stronger than 1995.
Basically the entire 1980s – 1994 was just phenomenal for music , along with the late 1960s – early 1970s.
2006 and 2004 were pretty good
If only for loveless 1991 would still be #1
1969 1979 1984 1987 1991
80s rock is the best. Opinion
I'd like an updated list someday which includes music history, sales, charts, memorability/critical acclaim, new technology, new changes, new artists and genres…
A new video series ranking the years of any decade from worst to best would be awesome! 1950s: w=1950? – b=1958
1960s: w=1960 – b=1967
1970s: w=1974 – b=1971
1980s: w=1986 – b=1989
1990s: w=1997 – b=1992
2000s: w=2004 – b=2007
2010s: w=2016 – b=2015
2020s are still going for now … ALL of these are subject for debate, of course.
1966 might just be it tbh. Revolver, Pet Sounds, and Blonde On Blonde is just ridiculous already, but then you realize that the Rolling Stones, Frank Zappa, and Motown were going strong as hell too so it just seals it
1995 had Björk, Radiohead, PJ Harvey, D'Angelo but y'all mention Shania Twain over them…
How were the Use Your Illusion Albums not mentioned in the 1991 segment?? Those albums were huge
76 95
1991
music history doesn’t begin after 1950s, 1749 or 1826 was the greatest year for music if you are not ignorant.
No need to watch i have the list here.
1. 1956
2. 1957
3. 1958
4. 1959
5. 1977
6. 1979
7. 1991
8. 1994
9. 1992
10. 1928
2003 is the best year in my opinion!
Song:Ante Geia(Malina)
Greek song in 150 BPM and F# minor key with a Christmas themed video of the singer
Whats the 1979 song before do you think im sexy
11:57 not the best example of a good song, this song is ass
Albums that didn't bother to be mentioned
Metallica – Ride The Lightning
AC/DC – Highway To Hell
Michael Jackson – Off The Wall
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Blood Sugar Sex Magik
Guns N' Roses – Use Your Ilusion I
Green Day – Insomniac
Radiohead – The Bends
Why weren't 1994 and 93 and 97 and 86 mentioned at all??
The year my father was born is #1; NICE!!
The I LOVE WHITE festival ?????
Let's be honest 1991 was no doubt a great year for music
If this release this top 10 in 2022, 2016 (the year that many legends that we've lossed) and 2021 (the year of comebacks (especially in November)) will include.
1978 was a great year
i’ve always had the theory that the 4 iconic years of the music are:
1969
1973
1984
1991
How can they say 1979 but not mention the wall by pink floyd
not sure kurt would’ve liked having his album cover above guns n roses album in the thumbnail
