As long as Tencent isn't directly involved in the development of Kuro Games and just act as a financial support, then I think WuWa is going to be fine in the long run. Also, it's probably in Tencent's interest to not get involved anyways as long as they get their returns in the end. People tend to think signing a deal with Tencent is like shaking hand with the devil, but often times that is not the case for most games.

what I just want from this is:

- Brazilian-portuguese localization(text or voice): we have some of the best voice actors around the world, They would REALLY improve this game experience for a lot of people, and bring way more of them to play it
- More budget,
- More polished results

People that solely care about the monetary backing of tencent fail to see the issue with a company let alone a chinese owned company putting their hands into the gaming market and buying up shares of select studios isn't necessarily good thing. Let's be real, even if they know the proper monetization plan for any game. This doesn't mean we should be okay with the CCP expanding control into our gaming space. Every company in china has to go through the CCP so by association they're just another hand. We'll see what happens but there's definitely a larger conversation than consooming content.

No way hero games thought that. With the current trend and hype for 2.0 the ceiling hasn’t even been seen yet. The amazing and distinct characters, this is a genshin destroyer cooking. IMO, tencent has been working to pressure hero games by offering larger and larger sums and found an offer they couldn’t refuse and convinced them.

Crazy people trying to defend Tencent just because they like Wuwa. Tencent is the absolute worse entity in gaming. The bow down to the ccp and one of the most predatory businesses out there. They’re pretty hands off with their western acquisition but not so much for the Chinese counterpart.

I'd imagine that, good or bad, we won't see too many changes for at least 6-8 months. Just because of how much work ahead of time goes into the pipeline for these games. Maybe some minor stuff, or things that are easy to do quickly. But in terms of positive things I'd guess the money won't show up for awhile

I just want to remind you that League of Legends and Valorant have some of the worst monetization you can have in a game (beware of the $500 and gacha skins).

Also people need to understand changes will only be noticed after 2.1 or 2.2 cause there is no way they will be able to do things so soon cause the game should be in mid developed of 2.1 or 2.2 right now

League player since 2009, I don't know if this info means much, but Tencent acquired 92.78% of Riot back in 2011 and after that we saw the addition of the permanent casual game mode Dominion which had it's own map as well. 5 years later, that was removed entirely from the game and at the same time the Hextech Chests (loot boxes) were added. In 2019, the 3v3 map that had a Ranked PvP mode was also removed. Now the game has only 2 maps and game modes, namely - ARAM and 5v5 SR. It has introduced gacha pulling systems for it's TFT skins and from next season we will have the same gacha system for league champions skins as well.

All I'm saying is, we have a clear example of what happens when the game doesn't meet revenue quotas as Riot themselves said they were removing all of those maps and modes because of server cost/player engagement metrics not matching up. We did have the addition of temporary game modes like Arena but they are non-existent more often than not.

We need more showing and less telling.

I work for a company partially owned by Tencent and despite all the shit that's been going on here and the hundreds of millions of dollars we lost in development costs, Tencent shows no signs of backing out. So If they can take a risk with my company they can definitely take one with Kuro XD

This made me REALLY happy when i read about it, because for me it shows even more how much potential Wuthering Waves have for the future, and there's no better signal as a half a trillion company investing in the game.
