Oh yeah. YouTube is still at it. Total pieces of shit. They’re watching right now. FU Kayla
@azzarox6661 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
My totally-serious-and-not-at-all-out-of-proportion-for-a-gag guess: sites that do this like Neopets are actually secretly pedophile rings.
@Damien_Bathory November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
It's ok Ajit Pai won't do a thing aslong as he gets money
@MockatLordmock November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
The company is collecting generic data to target advertising, so it’s a bit more specific but is it really different than the commercials that accompanied old Saturday morning cartoons?
@Siddif November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
I can’t see how YT can defend its 13+ stance when the YT Kids app is specially stated as 4+ and is a much worse offender than simply watching kids videos on the standard app.
@dotonenote697 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
This is interesting that people don't read terms and conditions of setting up a google account or a youtube account.
@thesamedufus2012 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
Illegal monitoring? More like pitiful babysitting.
@wickerbotterthewizard707 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
This may seem harsh buuuut seriously don't give kids under 13 complete access to devices that would let this spying happen. Until anti trust laws actually work and when corporations actually get their hands cut off for reaching in the cookie jar, THEN maybe it'll be safer for kids to use sites and devices but until then...... don't trust a service that is designed to sell peoples information to advertisers to look after your kid's privacy.
@tjmmatthews2930 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
this is becoming my favorite and has become my new favorite site for different news stories 2018! and beyond keep up the good work and cool hosts too
@Oncus2 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
If youtube says it's not for people under 13 of age, then what is the issue?
Anonymous November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
I don't approve my children to watch YouTube because they constantly watch weird videos. But I find it worse on Android. They constantly get bothered with ads.
@josephhavens8431 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
What happen to parents being parents? O that’s right the government and these watch groups do it for you now my bad.
@syrusmarks1 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
I mean, it seems a sealed case.. so as nightmare before Christmas says... guilty, guilty, guilty!
@arcadius2569 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
Geez Youtube, at this point just forfeit the playthrough and start again. Build your stats up better.
@shinocksa November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
What kind of YouTube channel would look at Disney Princess in a sexual or inappropriate way? I just have no clue how about you Rooster Teeth can you think of any?
@claytonmize6159 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
41480 times 1 million is 4148400000. or four billion
one hundred forty eight million
four hundred thousand.
More than most americans see over 4 generation of families. Yeah in other words better hope it doesn't stick.
@happyspaceinvader508 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
YouTube Kids is listed as for 0-5 years old... and its content bears this out. I don’t know how they have the barefaced cheek to say they have kids under 13 catered for.
@chance5280 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
Instead of just applying this to kids privacy, maybe do it for everyone instead.

Just sayin
@dabekka November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
youtube kids, youtube gaming , youtube tv , can we have youtube educetion ??!?!?!?!
while google doesn't block sources of education on the site, it isn't promoting them as well . am I only one who thinks it is a problem ?

p.s. sry for bad english
@Sloppy_McFloppy November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
Except it isn't illegal, because when they create their account they check a box that says "I am over the age of 13".
They don't track Youtube Kids.
@UncleSev November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
This is not even a surprise anymore
@joenesvick7043 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
Good lord, parents let their kids on YouTube? Next they’ll be letting them on Facebook & Twitter too 🤣. I suppose it’s better than giving kids access to Pornhub.
@mistslam90 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
Shouldn't it be up to the parents of said kids to monitor what their kids watch? Also are ads being removed from TV since kids watch it without parental consent all the time?

None of this would be an issue if parents did their jobs as parents instead of letting Google and Apple raise their kids for them.

YEEE BOI
@PwnzTube November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
At this point I just assume I'm being monitored. By the companies providing the service I'm using. Maybe by the network provider I use. Definitely the government that runs the area I live in, maybe even a few governments where I don't live...I'm looking at you Facebook/Russia;P
@alexwaddington9808 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
I haven't fed my neopet in about 12 years...wonder how he's doing...
@mrmanceres7653 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
Simple solution anyone under 18 banned from internet parents fined for allowing their children to go online.
@patrickdees5256 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
At this point I wouldn't be surprised by Google.
@dane4073 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
Well they did approve the terms of service saying there 13 so it not YouTube fault that parents didn't read the whole terms of service or kids just did it themselves
@thedatatreader November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
Wait.. Next you'll be telling me GOOGLE has been stealing .. "farming" personal data with their GPS trackers and "personalized ads". But that'd be crazy, right?!
@Boomrainbownuke9608 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
"not neopets!"
well neopets's website was run by a Scientologist
so i expected it to be there
@nerdos342 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
If it's free, then you are the product, plain and simple.
@yangashi November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
BAN THE INTERNET! IT'S FOR THE KIDS!
@UnboxFlix November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
Here we go again, thanks YouTube!
@HunterRodrigez November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
wait... isnt the minimum age for a youtube account 13? so in other words these kids legally should not have a youtube account in the first place and without one google cant really know how old the person they are tracking is...

its a catch 22
@Tigersight0 November 24, 2024 - 10:56 am
So, they're going after a company for its ad targeting algorithm doing its job. They're pissed because it's doing its job to track children on a platform the children shouldn't be on, which they are using instead of the platform the company made specifically for those children. Uh huh...
