I agree with your thoughts on the roster, I feel Korra, Sandy, and April could (and should) be dropped their are so many cool characters they could have chosen like Jimmy and Timmy who are known for crossing over with other shows and then I feel the roster also lacks villains (besides Zim I guess) but then again the only good villain you could put in this roster is Shredder (with the used franchises at least) though Vlad Masters could be really cool.

First actually honest review, yet i dont get why nobody is actually burning Nickelodeon for its awful lifeless characters; everything from sound, models, movements, charisma isnt there.
This looks like a very cheap Game Cube game and nobody is actually pointing at that. They can sell us a cup tied to a stick with a string and everyone will be excited about it about its "competitive potential".
This "game" is a well crafted scam.

Wow, this vid got bombed huh? I agree with basically all your points by the way. I bought this game 4 days ago, played it for 45 minutes, and I've been trying to bring myself to play it again but I just can't. I couldn't figure out why until you described it as empty and hollow, I think that's a perfect descriptor.

I havent gotten the game yet but I plan to. But yeah the game looks rather unfinished but certainly fun.

I wanted to like the game, I was super hype for it but honestly it just felt too clunky for me. as you pointed out, the characters felt stiff, and it just felt uncomfortable to play. I ended up returning the game after just a few matches because it didn't "feel" right for me.

Honestly I think the game nails the most important aspect, which is gameplay. If resources and budget are limited for other things then I can understand the focus being on gameplay rather than other more anesthetic aspects.

I just can't agree with everything gameplay related but on everything else IMHO you're right. I understand why they released the game so early. Actually, it was the best timeframe, because of the end of SSBU. There won't be better even it's unfinished. They're trying to fix the situation while fixing the game. And the fact it was easy to datamine the game helps it a little. Devs are working trying to bring characters, stages and alts. The game has potential to be the best game in the genre after Smash.

Good honest review. I had my doubts about this game and most seem to be giving it a pass for delivering the bare minimum. I grew up with most of these shows and I wouldn't spend $50 on a game this basic just to slap characters around as Reptar or Zim, if Jenny is DLC that just adds more to the overall price for me, so it should have a budget price tag.

People need to realize. In order for a platform fighter to be even close to the level of quality smash has, your going to need money!! And I ain't talking about a few million dollars worth of money. I'm talking about what Disney rakes in every day on their theme parks kind of money!! Nickelodeon probably only put up the amount of money that chucky cheese make in a whole month!

I personally think this game is very fun bit I do have a lot of issues with the game but overall it has a lot of potential with a few fixes and updates

You're spot on with your points. Another thing to note is that while it is unfair to compare it to smash, it's hard not to as some of the devs build their whole arguments for buying the game around the things that they "do better" than smash and Nintendo with it instead trying to build an identity.

There's already voice mods for spongebob, danny phantom, sandy, and aang. We will get their modded voices before they release official ones lol

4:46 I think it's mostly because they want to add some dlc, and if they added all the cool and popular cartoon characters to the base game, fewer people would buy the dlc/ fighterpass.

It's so refreshing, it's extremely fast and it's just so much fun to play online. It's a way better experience than smashs online imo. The base game is also polished enough for me, it first looked not finished at all, and some models are bad quality. But after playing it for some hours I fell in love with it, I don't care anymore about the model stuff, it's good enough for now.

We also shouldn't forget that at the end it's just a fun Nickelodeon game, it shouldn't take itself too serious.

With Nickelodeon characters in this game, Nintendo still owning the only popular platform fighter, and Smash Ultimate ending, people wanted this game to be good. It's a shame to see people haven't warmed up to this review but it's still a good one; just watching your video, the game looks really unfinished and doesn't seem to hold much to even much cheaper indie platform fighters like Rivals of Aether or Lethal League Blaze

This is due to the budget. The devs had a q and a and certain things had to be cut or push down. Voice line was too expensive. Nick did them dirty with the copyright
