In this second devlog, I dive into the unexpected ways a speedrunner helped me uncover some critical bugs in Telly the TV and the intense debugging process for my new game, Glow Rogue. My friend from Twitch found ways to break Telly the TV, from an invincibility glitch to damage issues at the end of levels. Thanks to his discoveries, I was able to fix these bugs and even added a “Screen resize” mode for streamers.

Meanwhile, in Glow Rogue, I encountered some game-breaking bugs with the card mechanics—cards would spawn and disappear at random, sometimes soft-locking the game entirely. After reorganizing code, adding debug tools, and testing new mechanics like the “bomb” and “magnet” cards, I’ve finally stabilized the system and made enemy spawns more reliable.

Follow along to see how I tackled these challenges and improved both games. And don’t forget to like and subscribe to stay updated on Glow Rogue’s progress!

Just found your channel today. I use Construct 3 which is very similar to GDevelop, and I can definitely relate to the woes of trying to figure out what code block isn't ordered correctly...
