I am looking to play it on PS5 as I don't have a powerful PC yet. PS5 is a lot less sharper for sure but I am relieved to see that gun fight inside the building 3:55 is at least still has smooth framerate for the console.

Dude this is like the first time since ps2 that consoles are very close to high end pc’s. I mean it’s insane the ps5 is basically a rtx3060ti I7 16 vram for like 500 bucks which is a steal.

Blurrier, less texture work and effects, also locked frame rates to 60, still looks good on console though, art direction is what matters most of the time.
The other thing i notice because i own all platforms is that the PC always looks much better IRL while the console looks worse.

I think the level of graphics the PS5 put out is just amazing and maybe somewhat of a miracle. I mean sure there are differences but the differences are not night and day but still there. And for the PS5 to compete with a high-end graphics card that is at least double the price of the PS5 I think the performance vs money is unbeatable for the PS5. Consoles will always be behind PC's in terms of performance but the console totally wins overall, imo. I mean a PC is not plug n play especially if you want to maximize or get the most out of it.

1. Looks more or less the same. 2. UE Matrix showed the same looong time ago. 3. Graphics are amazing but gameplay not much better than 25 years ago and looks like Doom :(

For the comparatively small difference in rendering speed and fidelity, at least for the examples here, if I was a PS5 owner, and i'm not, still I'd be chest thumping. You get a whole system for 3x less than a single PC GPU.

The PC uses higher quality effects such as depth of field and others.

The difference is huge. It's really hard for me to look at this soap. Poor PlayStation owners. I’m sure that you don’t have to have a 4080 to get such graphics; you can buy a video card cheaper.

That's not a PS5 limitation there's tons of games looking much better than this, it's just very poorly made. That fake masked depth of blur is ridiculous for a game in 2023 lol. Hopefully they will patch it and we'll get fidelity mode at 60 fps.

It seems that the PC version is running with frame gen. In the starting scene, I see that the paper debris are flying at ~30-40 fps while the camera moves at 60 fps, typical drawback with current implementation of frame gen. I have the same GPU and I have observed this with Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk as well. Only fix is to lower the native graphics settings (i.e. FG turned off) for the GPU to achieve at least 60 fps and then enable FG on top of it.

People praising how this game looks on the ps5 when in fact developers target consoles, and not high end GPU’s. If this was made for a 4090, this comparison would be a slaughter.
