This is just a very informative video. It amazes me that all these programs inside big boxes on the table inside the studio can nowadays be stored in USB sticks that sometimes are smaller than the top of your finger.

And still 2024

This is very good camera quality compared to most cameras at that time. Cameras like that might have been pretty expensive back then.

W7 disk, i meant. No labels – been peeled off.
Rats.

@andysaunders3708 November 9, 2024 - 12:06 am

Don't are about losing any data – thing only worked for 3 hours, and my mate passed away.
It's been sitting for 2 years +, and is currently on charge.
Am I wasting my time?
I have the disk, but the label's been removed.
y current Acer is dying, and it's on W10, but getting new versionof BSOD – I suspect the fan has failed, as if I run a pedestal fan against the vents, and it's been kind of working.
Will try your plan – nothing to lose

@dennishagans6339 November 9, 2024 - 12:06 am

On my tower that I was hoping to upgrade I have already had one configuration with a dual boot Win XP/Win 7 but on this old tower having it dual boot eats a lot of Hard drive space,

I have 2 Seagate 300GB 10,000 rpm drives and 1 Fujitsu 147GB 10,000 rpm drive, SCSI ultra 320 I am going to replace the Fujitsu drive with a 3rd Seagate Cheetah.

I was hoping for an old fashion upgrade where you stick the new os in the drive and it just upgrades.

The problem is I installed a 2 port USB 3.0 card, it works just fine in XP with the driver it came with, it will not work with Windows 7, I downloaded from the OEM site the Win 7 driver, installed it, and still no USB 3.0 in Win 7.

That was why I was hoping to be able to do an upgrade hoping it would retain the win XP driver but from the first few minutes of your explanation, it appears that the drivers might be changed anyway.

XP machine is so slow that almost stall when on internet. but it was not back 15 years ago. I had HP machine that is AMD athlon 3000+/512 MB PC 2700 DDR 333. HD is 80 GB. PATA. Speaker and Screen still looks and sounds very well. So I wonder if I continue to use it. First issue is my wifi router it use wpa2. XP not support it. Good thing I find patch that fix the issue. Then I have to find old chrome that support xp. But the browser almost not run for most video clip rich site. Pandora stall forever. Text site appears ok. Security establishment take so long. And many sites pop risk alert when you visit. But for local app it runs ok but slower. I open perf mon to attempt figure out what resource cause the freeze. And find most time it was from cpu. Not from HDD and often time from memory. Anyway give up the attempt to revive the old machine. So time to throw it away and create more electronics trash.
