I bought a Playstation recently and took me a while to remember that analog has to be tuned so I made a video on it to help others.
1.Plug the RF cable and the power cable into the back of the PS1
2.Plug the RF cable into the big round hole located on the back of your TV, make sure its pushed all the way in.
3.Turn on your TV and click the Menu button on your TV remote.
4.Select the “install and auto tune” option
5.Select Analogue auto tune until your TV finds your Playstation.
6.PLAY SOME GAMES
You can skip this whole process and improve the video and sound quality a lot by using a SCART cable which you can buy here: https://amzn.to/3asoz3z
If your TV does not support SCART you can use this cable: https://amzn.to/3dBIfnP
hope this video helps, happy retro gaming!

I have a new Samsung tv and can't figure out how to do the step "install and auto tune". I can't find this anywhere on the tv settings and stuff!
Hahah can't belive this worked. It's working a a 2021 oled sony tv.
Thank you so much, I could cry. I'm having a rubbish time so I dug it out so I could have comforting nostalgia. I couldn't get it to work, kept switching different things and also the little switch that's on the arial plug. Never occurred to me to tune the tv itself. ❤️
Ou so much I can relieve my child good as I bought one and it came with the ariel connector and not the red white and yellow
It’s amazing 9 years later I would be playing Xbox series x, and ps1 on the same smart tv years after those consoles released. Great video thank you for the help!

How would I fix static audio after all these steps?

Very helpful. Thank you!
In North America we only have the yellow rca cable and I think there’s nothing else that can be done to make the picture better at least by using the original

I have visual but the audio is just static, is this due to a faulty rfu cable?
