As a fan of conjugate style training with over 15 years of training experience, I use dozens of different exercise variations in my programming. I basically use 3 different main movements per training session, and in each of these slots I rotate through different variations of similar but different movements each and every week. Sometimes I’ll go several months between exposures of the same variation.
All that to say, I have a lot of experience with a lot of different exercises. In this series we will take a deep dive into some of the specific exercises that I use in my Conjugate style training, and their various associated benefits and unique values.
In today’s installment we discuss the deload push-up. An underrated but highly beneficial push-up variation that almost no one does!

Why do I need to bench when after can do 30 clean push ups I start adding weight of want hyper trophy? Strength then I go for 10 reps then add weight. Problem is the adding the weight.

Will Ratelle made a similar point about turning on your muscles from a dead stop regarding the Olympic lifts. iirc, the tldr version is having to accelerate a body of mass, receive and bear it from a relaxed position, then instantly brace to accelerate it again.
ngl your training style isnt for me, but it is obvious you are extremely knowledgable and I learn things outside of my box. Plus once I am a bit more advanced I will definitely start doing front squats, snatch high pulls, and already do behind the neck presses.

for training less days, i find, that. often can choose either pushup or benchpress and on normal benchpresses the advantage is that u can pair it with so much more in longer sessions or if u have more days, wich in the case of lets say u do mma 3x a week and sliw twitch once a week like my friend. u lack anyways, u get aditional arm benefits and can basicly always ditch benchpress pretty much… pushups are in many ways. the better benchpresses but as u already in other videosmentioned, benches arent a total waist… for me. i will never really dedicate time to bench since i can pushup . i call bemchpresses overrated exercises
