I never did like the helicopter attack in GF 3. Not sure why that seen bothered me. It just felt un Godfatherly to me. LOL.

I feel the same way about the third movie. It was just too weird for me. The 2nd is my favorite. I loved how Robert Dinero portrayed vito.

I've seen I & II more times than i can count. But ive only seen 3 once. It was forever ago, and all i remember is i didnt like it. I've never watched it since.

I'm surprised the studio didn't get someone else to make Godfather Part 3. With how much they wanted another one, one would think Coppola rejecting the offer so many times, they would just get someone else.

Michael is basically a bet time story to fall asleep to in terms of relaxing. He has the greatest voice I've heard since James Earl Jones. A good thing about modern era is you get to hear Goodfellas talk to you about life while you wind down of an evening

Godfather 3 was a disappointment not because of Sofia but because of the "un-Godfatherly" romance between Andy and Sofia's character. No one complained about Andy's scene with Bridgette Fonda. That made sense. The romance between Michael and Apollonia in GF1 made sense - the relationship between Michael and Kay made sense. Andy and Sofia's relationship was icky - and not because they were cousins. It was a piece of cinematic detour and self-indulgence that shifted focus away from Immobiliare and Joey Zasa. It was just gratuitous and icky. Icky has no place in the Godfather saga. - Plus there was no Tom Hagen.

I didn’t like Godfather 3 at first. But it made sense eventually. I mean, they cannot just not made a part 3. Thay have to. They could’ve done it right away after part 2 and not wait like a decade or so later. I believed it would have been a better part 3 if they did that. But I still love Godfather 3.

What we need in my opinion is a mob movie entirely in Italy during the late 19th or early twentieth century. The scenes in Godfather II like that were great. We need a movie that will go back to the beginning.

My father in law came to Australia on his own as a 30 year old in the 1950’s, he was the last remaining male of his line (father/brother/uncles all died of unnatural causes) and he renounced the family connection. His decision was respected to a degree.
Married an Italian woman he met in Australia from a family that was not approved by anyone, had three boys. Encouraged them to marry non Italians to try and protect his future grandchildren. Became a forklift driver at the rail yards and the dockyards. He died of a heart attack at 56.
Over 600 people turned up to the funeral, a large delegation of prominent people from Sicily unexpectedly turned up at the funeral, the banner from his town was carried in front of the funeral procession complete with traditional brass band. The big men in australia at the time we’re there also … on the receiving line my husband ( the oldest) was made an offer which involved him coming back to sicily and leaving me behind( a non Italian) He respectfully declined. The boys knew very little about their father’s former life.m but knew he battled his whole life to protect them from it
There are many questions that will never be answered.
My husband passed 12 months ago at age 59 after more than 40 years together. After the funeral I received condolences through third parties. A lifetime of respect and beyond shown for a quiet man who drove a forklift and wanted a legacy of safety for his kids.
