I've just started to get into Ado. I originally thought she would be more of a pop singer, but those growls and screams sold me.

Well ADO was an uta item so yeah Miku is very important for her...same as other big japanese artists.

It may look weird for some people if they don't have context, but Vocaloid helped a lot of this artists to expand their artistry and do some kind of vocal gymnastics than you wouldn't ever think before.

Ado actually talked after the song about some people believing that her love for vocaloid music might be seen as “weird” or “disturbing” and that they might not get why she’s such a fan. After saying that, our girl literally bursted into tears but said that she’s still standing and that she thanks all of her fans for helping her believe more on herself and also thanking for listening to her music. Hearing her cry and watching her shilouette clearly trying to stop her tears was so hearth breaking.

Miku is one of the reasons why Ado is the singer that we know: one of the many reasons why she became an utaite.
Miku is an important part of her youth and that’s why she praises her so much. This was clearly a dream come true for her and that’s why she was barely holding it together during the song.
Such a beautiful, genuine and relatable singer. She’s amazing.

in fact, doing a Hatsune Miku live is more difficult than it look, you need a lot of trained technicians for all the audiovisual management and not to mention good musicians who adjust well between themselves and the metronome throughout all the show.

I was one of the 70,000 people in the audience. The reason why the audience was crying was because they were thinking about the relationship between Ado and Hatsune Miku, but more than anything, it was because Vocaloid culture has permeated the Japanese people and they were moved by the fact that Ado and Miku were performing together.

Considered Vocaloid made tons of raw musicians/singers can easily jump into the music world and even major/career, including one of the JP biggest solo male singer, Kenshi Yonezu (Hachi).
They no need to sell their music cheap to earn name, no need to beg some famous company to accept their work while they were anonymous, no need to keep amend their work just because they were not mainstream/too much criticism/controvesial theme.
There are so many talents jump in and brought so many genius masterpiece into the world.
They also lead many listeners to jump into different type of music easily.
That's why Vocaloid in JP/world has a very big community.

Ado from what I understand used to cover volcaloid songs and is a huge Miku fan, so you probably could thank Miku for inspiring a young Ado.

Not to mention Japanese music fans have an exciting 2025 especially here in the UK, the O2 Arena is hosting a Babymetal show then a month or so later Ado at the same Venue.

Hatsune Miku has expo's around the world these days She was at the Wembley Arena here in the UK not that long ago.

But it's the community that built Miku's popularity, as many of the songs she performs are often from small musicians who have found a way to express their talents through Miku.

Miku is not AI!, she's a vocal synthesizer made way before AI training was even a thing, Saki Fujita gave samples of her voice such as syllables and other sounds so they could put them together and make Miku and her voice, but tuning her is completely manual and doesn't involve AI (though she will get an AI voicebank at the end of this year for better use)
@Olkam-w5u November 5, 2024 - 1:12 am
People came to Ado's concert. Miku was like an invited guest.

Hatsune Miku is a Vocaloid software voice bank developed by Crypton Future Media. It is not an artificial intelligence. It uses Yamaha Corporation's Vocaloid sampling technology to synthesize singing. The voice bank is created from the voice of Japanese voice actress Saki Fujita.
