Have been a music teacher for many years now both here and overseas. The greatest challenge I had was using Interactive method for my students (aside from preparing students for ABRSM music exams ) which means using an application software called Perfect Ear and children really had any easy time understanding and answering the exercises only with the tap of the fingers!
Can I ask…would you expect someone who's employed to teach music technology (specialist university for music) to know how to solve technical playback issues in logic pro x, know how to get speakers working once set up, have had experience with more than just one DAW and have used a mixing desk like the Icon M audio + ? Just a few things I asked the uni music tech lecturer (teaching at degree level) and hadn't a clue! I was the one who noticed things like a switch not on when the music wasn't sounding through the speakers (after this guy had wasted 40 mins failing..told me I prob needed new cables!) I'm totally self-taught in music tech after one year and he told me..yeah, I prob should learn Ableton and other DAWS! He'd never even heard of Bitwig and told me a music tech course was a waste of time.
Thank you but sounds were down in some areas.but great overview of the course my son wants to do.

I’m in a community college majoring in Associates in arts. Would this degree apply in any sort of way? Or what courses can I take in my community college?
