i hate how rushed this video feels, like im about to receive some sort of pay off but then we just cut away

@axistiltproductions October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

That is wicked guys

@UnixTMDev October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

when you wanna make a person little or big, it's NeRF or Nothin'!

"It's not about the final result now, it's about the potential that lies in the future, and the fact that it can even be done at all… that is what's fascinating to the inventor."

@CritiqueAI October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

"What a time to be alive!" – that's copyright!! lol

@kjgfalsk October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

"That should be NERF-ed" hmmm.. Could lead to misunderstanding… xD

@kinaya2816 October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

This is ai/ neural network used correctly

@RakselGT October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

7:51 they missed the chance to write “corriDOOR” over the door😭

@farisghaisani October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

8:51 Blink 182 do this in 2024

@verizonextron October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

the only problem is that it doesn't really cast shadows on your body, cmon when's the second vfx revolution???

@ClefWasHere October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

Now you need to fake a reflection of the light from the NeRF onto the people in these scenes

@ClefWasHere October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

People are going to use NeRF to make a hyper realistic scan of the whole planet

@Mrclassyduck October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

Could you use this for video games or is that just not how they work

@RealBenAnderson October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

Photo scanning used to be pretty powerful before they NRFed it.

@Apple_Beshy October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

what is the app they used to photoscan?

@Apple_Beshy October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

loveee

@tubelator October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

Is this now called gaussian splatting?

@neves5083 October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

Thats so cool

@harmless3449 October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

Bro imagine VR games

@BecomeTheKnight October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

I'm way late to this video, but this reminds me a little bit of Impulse Responses for guitar rigs. IRs are a capture of a guitar speaker cabinet as a wav file. Miking a guitar cab is difficult to master and time consuming, not to mention lugging those very heavy things everywhere is unpleasant. IRs have gotten so good now that they are the industry standard.

The quality of the IR, much like a nerf, is completely dependent upon the quality of the gear used and the mic placement. IR developers will go through multiple of the same cabinet type trying to find the best specific speaker for capturing. Every little detail is important because you're essentially modeling a specific set of circumstances as an equalizer filter layer to put after your guitar amplifier (like a real cabinet does). Idk, may be worth looking into. I see a lot of similarities between the 2 technologies.

I hope NERFs take off, since I'd love to see the return of practical fx more in movies. Such a beautiful art.

@Playeroth October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

thats what AI should be used for (and not for AI art, that it was made for whatever reason)

@dessert711 October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

It'd be amazing if you could get a normal map out of these

@BeyondBaito October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

Hardcore Henry but Henry is completely still XD

@lucbloom October 28, 2024 - 4:08 pm

How about an update on the current tech? Did it go anywhere?
