We’ve spent our own share of time lamenting that TAG’s Aquaracer offering came only in a 43mm sizing for years. Eventually we came to the realization that the brand’s dive watch collection simply wasn’t for “us” but rather the mass-consumer. That was until March of 2022 – during LVMH Watch Week when TAG took its two worlds and forcibly collided them.
Enter the 40mm Aquaracer Outdoors – the watch that knocked our proverbial socks off (and maybe our literal ones too, had we not been wearing shoes when we saw the watch for the first time).

Nice review , watch is beauty.
But how it possible to use this watch in diving, where is lume on the bezel ?
My first watch was a Seiko steel quartz watch from 2003. 21 years later it still work great without a single stain spot or fainted fimish. Shines throught the scrathes and dings.
I dont know why this watch gets so much hate.
I wasn't such a Tag fan until I saw this watch in person. It really is nice!
High quality video, I could tell this took a long time to create. Looking into my first tag and I’m sold! 💪🏼
You all created a dial color for this watch that does not exist with the color grading on this video. Is that blue? Green? It looks turquoise. I can't find that color anywhere.
What color is that dial?
I loved my 2000 series years ago , I’m 61 now but I love this version so I bought it
Tag or longines… decisions, decisions.
TAG, has a long innovative history. In the 90s they were the popular watch. I have Seamaster 300 Pro, and I like the scalloped bezel. The AquaRacer has a similar bezel. The Seamaster has the Wave Dial, ARacer has its own Dial. I really like this watch, its just a everyday, watch. I think its a GoodLooking piece. As a Frugal Collector I am thinking of adding this one.
Condescending and presumptuous. Didn’t care for this ‘review’.
My first watch was a Tudor 1926 in 39mm. Brand new it was $2100 before tax.
My opinion- watches are an essential to everyone that values their time. The first time I seen the aquaracer I grew an infatuation to owning one. This past winter my wife gifted me my first TAG (the one you mentioned in your video). You bring up solid points jn regards to dressing up for a business dinner or dressing down for 18 holes with the boys. If your thinking of purchasing one I suggest that you do. It’s a rewarding investment. Good job on the video.
Um… ok?
The formula 1 and the carrera eventually the monaco are the only ones to buy .the aquaracer is the bad guy the one we don't need the poor man porsche
Is that face blue or black ?
I’m looking for my first ‘Luxury’ brand watch. Tag Heuer seems like the entry point for me for budget. I have several nice watches which would fall into the ‘Designer’ brand still £400 but the Aquaracer is what I’m looking at next. Great video thanks
I'm open to Tag Heuer and considered this as a new watch. But as much it has pros this watch has also many cons. And I'm kind of disapointed not to hear from you those cons.
That blue dial is beautiful. Might grow a mullet to complete the look. 🙂
There are so many good brands whic ewry 2 ares make somthing of old thing and i think that Tag stil has in side 3part muwment- Eta 2892-A2 or somthing sinular. And for 3,5t$ or 4t$ i wil buy rather Tudor for 3,5 or Longine for 2,5$ and Longine has that price has much too ofer
nice watches
They definitely need the date on the quartz and no-date on the auto.
The 200. For me it's the Aquaracer to get over the 300 and 1000. I don't dive and doubt i ever will. So getting a deeper dive depth water pressure rating doesn't mean much to me. Nor should it really for the guy looking for an "everday (no diving) watch". "Enthusiasts" get too hung up o needless specs that shuldn't matter (e.g. does it have a helium valve, 600m depth water pressure rating…..).
Honestly, most of us buy expensive watches because we DO want people to notice. Buddies, family or that hot bbe we're interested in. Wil the watch get their attention and does it have a godo history e.g. incloved for decaes in PRO motorracing.
Design–for me i prefer faces that use rectancular index's with solid arms. easier to see at a quick 1 second glance in the day or at night…is the LUM's strong?? Does it last??
This was an awesome video. I'm looking to buy this watch as my first and only real watch since I've just graduated college.
I do not give a damn about Rolex, Omega (I own the Brosnan Bond model). I wear a Tag because I can kick the crap out of it and it will continue to work. It is a disposable price point so I always know where I can get another one quickly. It is the greatest timepiece for those of us who live the Bond physical lifestyle. They look good in a suit, wearing a polo shirt, or swimming. I have family financial responsibilities. I can justify a Tag. Vanity and conspicuous consumption is not my style. I don't need the approval. Those people that notice a Rolex or an Omega on my wrist are not my cup of tea. I am not saying to anyone do what I do and wear what I wear for a watch. I don't need the crafted image. I create my own. Tag is an understated image for the man who is in control. Been wearing them since the 80's.
Got the blue, but really like the black…just waiting for someone to tell me it’s okay to have both 😂
I bought one in 2007, chronograph at the time, which they don’t seem to make anymore. It’s on its 9 week service at the moment. I’ll always love the watch, just has a presence about it.
Tag has never been on my radar. Saw this exact model today and I loved it.
