Review: Mail Mole (PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox One & Steam) – Defunct Games

by admin

Defunct Games reviews Mail Mole by Talpa Games and Undercoders, available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.

If you’re looking for a game that demonstrates the importance of the post office, then look no further than Mail Mole. This is a charming platformer filled with likeable animal characters, great level designs and a nice variety of obstacles to overcome. While it may be a bit on the easy side for seasoned veterans of the genre, the colorful stages and goofy story should be enough to win over fans of all-ages. Help Molty the Mail Mole make his deliveries and save Carrotland’s Summer Festival in this debut release from Talpa Games.

Watching this review because it's on sale for $3.74 on PSN.

Thank you for posting this review, seems similar to Super Lucky’s Tale so I’ll definitely look into this.

Qotd; I choose Lucky Swiftail and I’m sure you’ll like him too!

QOTD
I love Tails, from the Sonic series. I actually love all the characters from the original 1 thru Knuckles Sonic series. However, Tails is definitely the cutest of the bunch.

Sonic the Hedgehog is # 1 in my book .

This game reminds me alot of Luckys Tale. Theyre both easier platformers but I feel like Lucky does a better job with its burrowing mechanic. I might still check out Mail Mole but I do feel like it could've done more with what ive seen in the review.
QOTD: my favorite animals mascot heroes has to be Klonoa and Sly Cooper. Both of those are some of my favorite games. Klonoa is a very underrated series and I really like the design of him and Sly Cooper has a very interesting story and sense of style which I haven't seen before when I was a kid.

I was always a fan of blaze the cat wish she had a bigger role in the sonic universe. I also really like lilac from freedom planet.

@shinyneko8136 October 25, 2024 - 5:14 pm

QOTD: Oh man, another tough one. 😅

Ok, I'm gonna go with Lilac, Klonoa, Lucky, and AiAi/MeeMee.

Also, honorable mention to Pinobee. He's not an animal, but I love his design!
I'm honestly a little surprised most people don't talk about him despite his similarities to Sonic design wise (I mean, he was designed by Naoto Ohshima).

This game looks so much like "new super lucky's tale". Lucky can dig through the ground too, and it looks similar. But I like NSLT a lot 🙂

QOTD: Tembo the badass elephant! Cause he's an elephant, the best animal in the world
And the pigs from hogs of war, because they are funny 😀

@cyberpunknut1099 October 25, 2024 - 5:14 pm

Reminds me of super mario 3d world. Probably not as good but looks cool. Shame you can't really see much of the main character.

QOTD, Pretty sure everybody's answer is going to be Sonic. The 16-bit version for me.

@JenMistress October 25, 2024 - 5:14 pm

Yeah, that game does give a bit of a Mario vibe. Then again, so does about 90% of the platformers out there. But still, looks like could be fun. However, speaking of those who give a Mario vibe, in answer to your question, I'm going to say Sonic.

@AlexBSPLUS October 25, 2024 - 5:14 pm

The main mechanic reminds me of Super Lucky's Tale, but taken a little further.

QotD: Lucky is adorable!

@Angellmbrr October 25, 2024 - 5:14 pm

QotD: The original chubby Sonic the Hedgehog

@Scytharia October 25, 2024 - 5:14 pm

Awww, sure looks lovely! Guess I am going to give this one a try. Can't be lighthearted enough these times tbh 🙂 Thanks for another – literally – charming review! ♥

QotD: Yoku ;P Probly just because I played Yoku's Island Express lately but yeah, I kind of fell in love lol =) I WOULD have to say Ori tbh but well, doesn't meet the "animal" requirements I guess xD

@megazenn22 October 25, 2024 - 5:14 pm

A game that runs right on switch and the devs genuinely tried their best, this is all ive ever wanted from videogames! Cant wait for their next game 🙂
