Hype! The game has 2 melee weapons with the same lame animations, 3 guns, the same 5 or 6 enemies for the entire dragged out game. Poor voice acting and/or cinematic direction. A pain in the butt slog to complete. It plays like a demo that needs at least 6 more months of creative input and development to qualify as even half as good as Resident Evil 4 was. To top it off, it appears that it wasn't even a legit Unreal 5 game. Don't believe me, do a YT search for details. It deserved 4 or 5 out of 10 at best.

If Konami wanted to do SH1 and SH3, it might be an idea to do it as a single continuous narrative. By that I mean that when the game first gets booted up, you play through Harry’s odyssey from the first SH game. Then, as a reward for completing that narrative, you unlock Heather’s story from SH3 instead of New Game+ (or in addition to Harry’s New Game+). That way it carries a more unique feel to it.

Bloober Team proved through Layers Of Fear 2023 that they can compile multiple scenarios into a single game with fluidity and effortlessness. So I think it could work so long as they don’t go down the DLC route like with ResEvil3 remake.

This remake has become one of my favorite games of all time. One I will go back to every year to play through again. I honestly like it more than the original and that's saying a lot. Bloober Team put their heart and soul into this and gave the fans what even us fans didn't know we needed. My first experience with this remake will stick with me forever. There were moments I literally yelled in pure terror. Moments of such dread I didn't want to continue on. Moments so emotional that I was brought to tears. Everything about this remake is perfect. The sound design is absolutely amazing with 3D headphones.

Lmao, no. Its over price and has under delivered. We just got done playing it, this is a failure. Keep the remakes, just make new games. Also it shows the troubled development. This game looks graphically inferior to MGSV and the first person horror thing kojima was trying to do.

you can say what you want about this generation but we should all be really happy that resi 2, resi 4 and silent hill 2, three of quite possibly the most significant horror titles of the 2000s have all gotten BOMBSHELL remakes

I was the exact same way as Scott I really wasn't going to check this out until maybe way later, and then I watched all the reviews and immediately bought it because just from the footage and gameplay from the reviews it looked amazing and I absolutely had to buy it

Silent Hill 2 was great. I actually put it on par with my favorite survival horror game of all time Resident Evil 2. It's just slightly below it. It's the only Silent Hill I felt compelled to finish. Never understood why they didn't stick with the formula.

One of my favorite games i have ever played. I think its GOTY for sure. I enjoyed it so much. I was genuinely scared from beginning to end playing this game lol

This game should be the game of the year . The gameplay is amazing the town feels creepy as it should be and the atmosphere is so horrifying . Not to mention the top notch story . The words can’t describe this game🥲❤️‍🔥

I seriously hope the remake 1. After this massive success with 2, they almost certainly have to do the first one… 1&2 are the franchise for me… with 2 in my opinion the better but there would be no two without the first… please please pleaseeeeeeeeeee remake one next! Massive undertaking or not, I see no reason they couldn’t remake one using a lot of the assets or textures they have from 2… and they may be able to up the ante a bit on the gore aspect… like show the blood splatter when shooting the creatures same for when beating them with the plank or pipe… it doesn’t have to be campy over the top splatter like a Raimi film but more subtle like in the RE remakes… it’s just a nice touch. I can live without it, thought it would be a nice touch adding to the horror aspect. Anyways, yes Konami, remake SH1!

I feel that the remake is bloober teams way of showing that they can be trusted with the IP to produce a good game fans will love, and they will go on to create their own original silent hill game.
