You really shouldn't buy the cheapest hdmi cable though. I noticed a difference with those. The expensive ones are a waste of money but try to buy an hdmi cable which is cheap but not the cheapest.

The problem with cellphones at fuel stations isn't the cellphone itself, but the sparks it may cause, when dropped.

@JasonHalversonjaydog October 24, 2024 - 5:22 pm
eh my laptop is plugged in 24/7 with no problems
@xavierjohn8760 October 24, 2024 - 5:22 pm
Its perfectly OK to leave your laptop plugged in most laptops are smart enough to realise and optimise battery current flowing into the battery
@mike-vo8im October 24, 2024 - 5:22 pm
They obviously don't know my laptop it drains batteries faster than vampires drain blood.
@Gvistic October 24, 2024 - 5:22 pm
When pumping gas, I am very careful about static electricity, I always touch the metal of the car.

@MikeHeldTheWorld October 24, 2024 - 5:22 pm
Don't listen to this channel when they talk about HDMI cables (or any tech really.) They don't know what they are talking about. There are different types of hdmi cables that are different prices and different qualities. They are most certainly not all the same no matter the price. That being said, I would never spend $200 on an hdmi cable, that is insane. I wouldn't spend more than $30 on hdmi cable, depending on the length/kind you need.

I once saw a woman fueling her car while talking on her phone. She then got back into her still running car and got out again, all while smoking a cigarette. Cell phones don't cause fires. Morons do.
@JODmonn October 24, 2024 - 5:22 pm
#3 you are wrong modern laptop stops the flow of current when the laptop is fully charged and instead use as direct source to power the laptop instead of charging the battery. Know you facts first.

@Tracenji October 24, 2024 - 5:22 pm
0:41, HA, HDMI cables, if you're going to use a desktop/console/laptop as a "Desktop" atleast use a real connector. well, i guess it's better than a VGA cable
@ElectronicsForFun October 24, 2024 - 5:22 pm
#5 that is only partially true, you can get HDMI cables from the 99 cent store and they won't be as good as say a $20 cable from where ever else. this is because there are different revisions of HDMI, the current standard is 2.0 but cheaper HDMI cables tend to be 1.4 which have less bandwidth and are inferior cables. however if you're not watching 4k 60FPS content then you wouldn't notice the difference because there isn't a difference unless you're consuming content that requires a lot of bandwidth. also if the cable is made from cheaper metals then it can be a little more electrically resistant than a higher quality material which would make the signal cut out over longer distances, but for a 6 or 9 foot cable it doesn't matter.

#4 l said the same thing to a "cameraman" and he said that is literally what makes a good camera. hehe that guy was a pleb.

#3 well it depends on the machine. a lot of laptops can just hold a charge when plugged in to keep the battery topped off, once the battery reaches it's max voltage then the charger will just hold the voltage and keep the battery from draining and over charging. trying to charge an already charged battery doesn't do anything because the battery won't take anymore charge once it reaches the max voltage of it's charger, unless you increase the input voltage to something much higher than the battery's output.

#2 meh... whatever.

#1 yeah totally agree, gasoline is not that volatile. even if you throw your phone in gasoline it wouldn't do anything.
@Bobmcjoepants October 24, 2024 - 5:22 pm
You should NEVER use a phone while pumping gas, not because it can cause fire but because it's a distraction and if something were to go wrong your reaction time is drastically reduced, if you even notice. This is especially true in places where switches to automatically fill the tanks exist, thought sadly it's banned here... And we have Canadian winters...
@dannyd4339 October 24, 2024 - 5:22 pm
Wrong
@jeremymacdonald6687 October 24, 2024 - 5:22 pm
Simple way to stop static build up is to touch the metal of your car when you get out.
@Tarraska October 24, 2024 - 5:22 pm
HDMI come in stanards, 1.0-1.1, 1.2-1.2b, 1.3-1.4b, 2.0-2.0b, 2.1. All have different bandwidths, for instance you would need hdmi 1.3 or newer to get 4k through it.
