Movies To Video Games Reviews
Review #6
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone for the Personal Computer (PC) is fully reviewed and analyzed as compared to the actual movie itself.
This version of the game was also ported to the Apple Macintosh computer and is the same exact game on that system.
This review will also count as the review for the very similar Playstation 1 version that was released at the same time.
Feel free to comment. More movies to video games reviews coming soon.. suggestions and feedback welcome and encouraged.
Remember to keep comments civil and to avoid flames or personal attacks against me or any other youtube member. Comments that do so will be removed without warning. I run a clean channel.
In the means of saving space the score tallies used to get to the final score are listed here instead of in the review itself. They are on a 0-10 scale with 10 being the best score possible:
Story Accuracy to the Movie 6.5
(The cutscenes and the final moments of the game are dead on to the movie. The rest of the game though is weird variations that take strange off shoot paths to what was in the film.)
Music Soundtrack Accuracy to the Movie’s 5.0
(Has the same flavor and feel to the movie. But the original John Williams soundtrack and theme seems to be missing for the most part. Some themes show up slightly and do pass enough to make the familiartity of the movie recognized. .)
Game Difficulty 4.5
(The game is quite simple, linear and easy. Seems to be geared at very young kids over a general audience. Only a few points will be challenging and even those will be over come with little challenge..)
Overall Fun 5.5
(The game is fun at times but can get very boring and repetitive as you venture further in. When the game does resemble the movie closely its fun. It is too short though to truly be fun. Just as it gets good it is already near the end..)
Final Score: 6.00
AVERAGE
NOTE: Apologies for the faded images in some places in this video. Seems like the YouTube compression ruined the look in some places. I will make sure to compensate for that better for future reviews. It is only minor and shouldn’t be a problem.
