my personal wishes:
– bring back key people from the original era
– focus on style more than fidelity (don't become a generic modern title that looses the atmosphere and soul of the old games)
– enjoyable campaign / well thought out narrative arc (look at the original saga)
– don't base your entire game on one or two levels of a past game (that will not work for more than the duration of those levels)
– good gameplay (don't make it a generic modern shooter, make it halo)
– good music (look at scores from past media – ce/2/3/reach/odst/wars/fall of reach/forward unto dawn etc. but also explore new ideas)
– learn from the past (dont restart each game/keep consistency, listen to dev/player feedback, don't solely rely on outsourcing, don't give up on it, be honest & transparent)
– splitscreen co-op (both console and pc)
– social / party first multiplayer (2/3/reach/ce/odst)
– better customisation (no restrictions or cores – look at halo 3/reach)
– no monetisation or at the least no egregious monetisation (dlc could be map packs like halo 2)
– feature complete at launch
– full modding support
– M rating
also please add possible spinoffs to the cycle so as to make the franchise refreshing (not every game has to be with chief), modding/map tools for halo wars de / halo wars 2 & 5 to steam

Halo use to be a staple in the industry, it was a giant. top 5 ips in all of the industry and you alll burned it to the ground with infinite, infinite is the worst halo ever released. you guys cared more about chasing fortnite trends than making a good Halo game. and now yall went full lazy mode and want to use the easiest engine instead of using your own. you guys just refuse to learn. such lazy developers. i bet this is so you guys can source the game again to other devs and hope ue5 is easier for them to work on. lazy garbage dev company deserves to go bankrupt.

Microsoft needs to let this series die. It’s clearly a bunch of new blood that are trying to make their own game within the limitations of the halo universe.
You need an actual co-operative career system. Start off as a private marine and work your way up through odst and spartan with your friends. Unique perks for levels and co-op. Like a squad leader class with customizable NPC's.😂 Something that can keep up with everyone's play styles. Could even do all races.🫂 Think about ittttt.👁️
