Wicked star Cynthia Erivo is speaking out about an edit of the film’s poster, featuring Ariana Grande, that imitates the musical’s original poster in which Elphaba’s face is hidden in shadow. Cynthia shares a message to her Instagram story on Oct. 16 saying, “this is the wildest, most offensive thing I have seen.”

Erivo is a very troubled woman who should not be in showbusiness. She has a history of being racist and attacking fans. She has attacked fans before who posted a "live-action Hercules fan fiction casting" on twitter and had a total meltdown over not liking the role the fan had suggested her for. Throwing threats and tantrums at the fan. Also, she single-handedly attacked and damaged the Broadway show "Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812" (which she wasn't even in) when Josh Groban left the show they needed another big name actor for the role and they had asked Mandy Patinkin to fill the role, she started to scream "racism!" because the unknown understudy who happened to be black (Okieriete Onaodowan) didn't get the role after stepping in. She organised a campaign to attack the producers and reputation of the show, with lots of racism accusations on social media, forcing a hastened closing of the show. Completely failing to realize that this was not about race or about her at all. This is an unstable and dangerous woman.
Usual suspects victimizing themselves
ME ME ME 😂😂😂
I’m offended she took a role that painted her beautiful black skin. Leave that for white people. 🤬
What a clown.
She is a textbook Narcissist
You're green the entire movie to hide your black skin.
You're just a actor. It's your job to play dress up. You are not some famous philosopher.
I was actually looking forward to seeing this movie. Not anymore.
Any chance of my watching this movie is “melting…mellll-ting…”
Wait, am I missing something? Cynthia is playing the original wicked. Cynthia, please don’t making the rest of us when we are having it hard already. 😢😢😢
The only thing offensive here was her reaction to FAN art. They’re fans, you know, the reason she has a job. And I think it looked better than the promo poster. Her choice “to look right down the barrel of the camera” doesn’t convey wicked. It conveys unhinged. Just like her reaction
There are kids starving in the world rn, and that's what issue she chose to be offended by, lol?
Much ado about nothing.
She has a lovely voice but the diva personality to match I guess.
The poster was edited well with the original poster, Cynthia needs to calm down she really isn't all that.
Does Cynthia not know the musical poster from the original? This kind of negativity makes me not want to watch this movie anymore even though I was looking forward to Ariana Grande's performance.
I can see Ms. Erivo not likeing the poster change. We all have our personal sensibilities and preferences, and I'm sure she put a lot of herself into the project. But if that is the "wildest, most ridiculous thing" she has seen, I have to wonder where she has been for her entire life, and what she has been looking at. Her hyperbole is ridiculous.
Cynthia Erivo is your typical 👩🏿 person who tries soooooo hard to be a victim. Victim woke bs mentality = Cynthia Erivo
I would not want ANY additional part of my face covered. It's me!
As a fellow narcissist, I totally agree with her disgust. How dare someone take my face out of the poster! What's next, removing me from the entire movie by chroma keying. I'm melting!!!
I think of South Park. She needs a new agent for her victim identity.
Saw what she said and it seemed so arrogant and tone deaf given that there are people dying in wars right now and it just seems like she's making herself out to be some kind of victim.
when ppl. do this, even though I am one person, it makes me NOT want to see the film out of spite.
She ruined it for me, so I am sure others feel the same.
Her eyes clearly tell me she is an extremely unpleasant person.
