In the means of saving space the score tallies used to get to the final score are listed here instead of in the review itself. They are on a 0-10 scale with 10 being the best score possible and are as follows:
Story Accuracy to the Movie 2.5 out of 10
(The cutscene moments do set up the situation and story from the film and in chronological order too in each stage. But you could be anywhere and doing what you are doing as the stages are all identical feeling and looking and don’t’ resemble the movie areas too well even by NES game standards.)
Music Soundtrack Accuracy to the Movie’s 1.0 out of 10
(This is almost as bad as it gets. A heavy metal soundtrack and we get repetitive, annoying beats found throughout the whole game that all sound like weird variations of the same song that the music writer created. Just horrible. )
Game Difficulty 1.0 out of 10
(The game is over in 20 minutes. The bad guys can beat you up quickly at times and drain your energy down in mere moments. You only get 2 continues and it will either be a breeze to get through if you can get used to the pattern of fights or be something you don’t really want to deal with after just a few moments of playing it. It’s too short either way..)
Overall Fun 0.5 out of 10
(The game is anything but fun at any point. Even fans of the film will probably not like the feel and design of the game. Seems like it was rushed to market on a system that was dying at the time of it’s release anyway and this game is proof of no effort put in at all. Just a bad game.)
Final Score: 1.00
TERRIBLE
