Yeah, but who won the game you guys played?

@tonisia6846 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

Which is good brass lancashire or birmingham if gonna buy one ?

@Kolvorok October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

Hi Guys, are you using those two blue yeti mics at the same time connected to the same laptop or to two different machines? DO you have issues with echo and reverb when you speak at the same time?

@Skorrigan October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

One thing I've learnt over the course of the years is never trust games with non-modular boards (except chess and go). From Power Grid to TTR, to Smallworld to Concordia to Terraforming Mars, they all fall flat eventually.

@technoleo9 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

I am keenly interested in Brass now, having never played the original. I think I'll go for Birmingham, since it seems to have more replayability.
Also… Why are your mikes set atop the giant dice? It looks funny

@ericfinley220 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

Caylus could use this treatment. As a former Texas Hold 'em guy I had to buy a couple sets of the Iron Clays too.

@GorgeGuides October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

Just received both from Kickstarter. Keeping Birmingham as i live in one of the places on the board! Selling Lancashire. Can keep everything. Anyone interested?

@buteverybodycallsmegiorgio October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

Lanca*shur*, fellas

@svensify October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

You got something wrong. BEER at those times was not in order to satisfy the workers to get drunk at the end of the day. There was a time, there was beer almost the only beverage to drink, cause it was way cleaner than regular water. Even kids drank beer. But there was a lot less alcohol in beer earlier. Beer was staple food just as bread.

@SherlockChromesSFY October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

Is there a big enough difference between both games to buy both of them? Or if only buying one, which would you go with?

@IslanKleinknecht October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

@12:15 Exactly how is the VP for connecting links different? It just looks like they replaced coins with some symbol.

@TheBrokenMeeple October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

This game is not accessible to casual players. Really? A 3 hour plus economic game accessible to casual gamers? It looks gorgeous but visual graphics aren't everything.

@bgm-1961 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

Count me as another who hasn't played either, and am considering backing only Birmingham. BUT that box cover for Lancashire is AWESOME. So I want the box for Lancashire, but the contents of Birmingham. Oh, first-world problems!

Can you review my addictive physics puzzle game "Newton Ball"

@dimhalo08 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

Love you guys but one of the most annoying things US reviewers do is not acknowledge the correct currency in a game. EVERYTHING is $, in every game, $$$$$. No….the game currency is ÂŖ so say ÂŖ!

@mikeem09 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

I really prefer Age of Industry, the revised version of the original Brass that Martin Wallace put out when he went out on his own and created Tree Frog Games. Wish they had used that rule set in this update instead.

@krzysztofpiwowarski4359 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

Starts watching, hears Lancashayer and Birming-ham…dies.
Silly yanks and their accents!

@RoamingWithRobert October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

(Backer here): Why not have wooden or 3d versions of the Boats and Rails as a stretch goal??

@LeeStoneman October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

Great review as usual, chaps. If you want an authentically British pronunciation guide: Lancashire is pronounced lanca-sher, Birmingham is berming-um.

@szlachcic87 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

Is it worth to own both versions of the game? I'm thinking not to take the full pledge, but just for one.

@JeffreyQProductions October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

I've never played brass, and never seen it played. I'm currently backing now. But if I get both, I'm worried that I'll try them both, then think that one is superior over the other and never touch that one again. Are they both good enough to make me want to play each of them again? Thoughts?

@twocinc October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

Also at 12:00, the "links" on the new Birmingham tiles function identically to the gold circles on the original game's tiles. Another big part of strategy is trying to get links to the cities with 3-4 slots so that you can grab points from all of them.

@twocinc October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

At 11:20, not true. In the original game, you could sell cotton from as many mills as possible in a single turn, using a single card. That's a huge part of the game's strategy, since actions are the real scarce resource.

@natehocking8884 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

I really love your videos. However, you're tagine should be "the show where we talk about boardgames we love" :). I understand not wanting to waste film n edit time on games u dislike. No prob with that. Keep up the good work!

@phillopez4477 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

this game looks phenomenal

@halesowenboardgamers9265 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

This interests me a lot as a local to the area represented. It looks beautiful, but one thing leapt out at me, Redditch is missing its 't'. I appreciate it's only a prototype and maybe this has already been picked up.

@alyssonlago October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

I've noticed a Three Kingdoms Redux standing behind Jeremy. Please say you're going to review it, it is a great game that deserves more attention.

@davidcassady3366 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

I REALLY like the art shown in this review. Very nice job.

@Pluiz2006 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

I've never played Brass before because of the "the 2 player isn't good" talk about it. I know there's a way to change the rules so 2 players is viable in the original game and that those rules will be implemented in both this game and the new Lancashire. So have you guys played it 2 player and if yes how is it?
Thanks for the great videos as always, keep up the good work!

@randybookman October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

love the channel bit i fiund this review to be very confusing or lite on details. Is brass Lancashire just a reskin and Birmingham changes out some resources and loses ports etc.?

@datadata33 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

question, i understand both to be great games, but are they sufficiently different to justify getting both? or just getting one is right? i'm on the fence here

@kwulfe October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

The art work is definitively wonderful. Many thx for this preview.
I will back both Brass games for sure although my free storage space is coming to an end.

@Gutock October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

How do you feel about the scaling to 2p, if you've played it?

Original is supposed to work well with a variant, not sure about Birmingham. I'm sure this is a game that benefits from more people, but 2p is my main way to play, so…

@anthonyburnett8846 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

I backed this game on Kickstarter when it came out days ago. Super excited for this game release. The amount of detail and graphics in this game seem like they really care to bring a great revision to this game. Good preview guys. Thank you.

@antoniomarghereti6397 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

Hey, great work, but my question is: As there is an option to buy either Lancashire and Birmingham and I only want one, which one should I buy? After watching this video now I thing Birmingham would suit me better.

@Reis2418 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

You forgot the part where you said you'll talk about your thoughts of both games and which you liked more. Possible to type it out instead? Would love to know.

@reddish22 October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

I don't think there were any wild cards in the original, you could just discard any two cards to build anywhere.

@TheRoosterJuice October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

Please note, the game shown is a prototype.

@phpFreNZy October 11, 2024 - 4:17 am

1. Are there rule changes for Lancashire?
2. Which version is "heavier"/more "weight"?

Thank you for answering
