That's not really what they were asking in the second question… the real question was, "How do I stop overanalyzing things?" Luckily we can all search that question and find lots of real answers 🙂

Is it weird that I find Heavy Metal music to be extremely soothing?

@sharlharmakhis280 October 9, 2024 - 5:49 pm

shower-idea-havers: get shower crayons. I know they're 'for kids' but just being able to write stuff down without getting out of the shower is SO helpful

@MichaelVanderHoven October 9, 2024 - 5:49 pm

wish I could visit this doctor.

@Lisa-d6n5c October 9, 2024 - 5:49 pm

Psychiatrists are cruel. They force you to take their medications. Beware!

@phantomspaceman October 9, 2024 - 5:49 pm

I thought I was losing my mind too! Anxiety, tachycardia, fatigue, trouble focusing, unable to exercise…. I had anemia and was slowly bleeding to death. Keep an eye on that if you have GI problems.

@kellmos571 October 9, 2024 - 5:49 pm

I’ve always thought of him as more of a neuro psychiatrist than a straight up psychiatrist. His answers are broad and pretty basic. My biggest issue for the last 15 years I’ve had with Amen is is scans are extremely expensive and can only be obtained by the ultra wealthy not to mention he gears his practice towards celebrities (Miley Cirus, Bieber, etc). He really isn’t “for the regular folks”. He always pushes his lac luster books that say the same thing that hasn’t been said before. He ain’t it.

@nath1029 October 9, 2024 - 5:49 pm

Thank you so much, Daniel ❤

not sure what he was getting at with the best defense being something other than a vaccine when he, as an educated man, knew there was a huge problem with people not getting the vaccine. He could've just not said anything.

This guy shouldnt be called a psychiatrist. Yogi is a more suitable word to describe this excuse for a dr

@thelittlesthobo7100 October 9, 2024 - 5:49 pm

Does this guy have a book?

@raystaar October 9, 2024 - 5:49 pm

Keto? No. Hard no. Short of suicide, a ketogenic diet is the quickest way to undo all the positive steps the good doctor has been delineating. He's a nice man and mostly very smart, but unless you're a 6 year old plagued by seizures, it's a non-starter. Whole food plant based. That's the ticket.

@apekshasaxena5854 October 9, 2024 - 5:49 pm

Wonderful collection of questions and amazing explanation ❤

@jarbincks6715 October 9, 2024 - 5:49 pm

the anteater technique prowling through the nether regions of your brain is such a good technique I use it often

11-second breathing technique!!
Breathe in for 3 seconds
Hold for 1 second
Breathe out for 6 seconds
Hold for 1 second
Repeat 10 times

genetic was the gun, environment pulls the trigger. unfortunately for me i realized this too late. i went under severe stress and it triggered an auto immune response. i got diagnosed with unspecified inflammatory arthritis at 18😞

How do you feel about psychiatry smearing the victims of neuroweapons, and covering up the crimes of DARPA on the population with directed energy weapons etc? As a delusion, schizophrenia etc? James Giordano, Robert Duncan and many others claim it is real, and claim to have helped build the various technologies.

@drewcifer8489 October 9, 2024 - 5:49 pm

What's helped me is looking inward & working to understand "why," I respond the way I do to certain situations.
I'm not done.

@realm313 October 9, 2024 - 5:49 pm

Psychiatry is an evil industry, masking problems with dangerous drugs, creating souless, drug-addicted individuals… all to the benefit of the pharmaceutical industry

@KAMIIINCHEN1 October 9, 2024 - 5:49 pm

i am very thankful you mention the inflammation part. My immune system is not working correctly, i always have inflammation in my body. When i get infections my body does stupid things with my brain ! I have PANS since birth, and actually no psychological illness at all. It took 25 years to find that.

@mrollin October 9, 2024 - 5:49 pm

I'm a psychiatrist as well. This man speaks very confidently about things that are very uncertain, and seems to fail to understand the thrust of some of the questions being asked. Seems like a nice fellow though.

@gracemaryperez1851 October 9, 2024 - 5:49 pm

I am making everyone in my family watch this.

@amberkiely8521 October 9, 2024 - 5:49 pm

For the shower I recommend either a white board or leaving a phone recording while ur showing so u can shout ideas. Much better than a pen and paper. Or you can take ur phone into the shower with u and write in the notes app, but ud have to dry ur hands for that
