I didn't know much about JJ Hester before, but I was so proud of the way he performed against Auburn. I think he has a really bright future here.
Top two problems Offense Line & receivers. No doubt! Defense is SOLID!
I believe that the o-line staying healthy is the key. The receivers that are out aren't going to be playing this year. O-line health and continuity is key now. With a run game, it can help carry the load.
Implement the wishbone like Vandy
Bruised quads do not take months to heal. Sorry, but no. Maybe for an elderly person but definitely not a young person.
I grew up playing sports, including football as have most guys on here. I don't remember many weeks that I was not bruised but each hone healed just fine and well before several months. It was always a new bruise somewhere else on the body.
Insider reveals OU still sucks.
I suffered a quad pull over 50 years ago and I still have problems with it. That's just me, but expecting him back might be a pipe dream this season. Guys I've known in past with quad injuries have favored them for years and years. I know this doesn't apply to everyone but just a word of caution, guys.
Nic is Awesome ! We really need him if we want to be Elite !! We can be excellent but Not Elite, IMO ! Hester and Deion can be Elite WR’s ! Sharpe can be an Elite TE plus we have several RB’s that can be Elite with a healthy O line ?
There’s a quote Oklahoma needs to put up in their locker room and training room…. It’s from Herb Brooks on the miracle on ice… “a bruise on the thigh is a hell of a long way away from the heart”!!! There’s alot of players in this program that are way too soft and no where close to being tough enough to play in the SEC!!!
Farooq, Anthony, Burkes, Anderson: these healthy four would be the most dangerous group in the country.
Damn
I'd play in the Texas game in a wheelchair. I'd be doing sweet moves running over toes. This don't feel right being out so long. #boomer
Oklahoma doesn’t beat Texas and ole miss. You guys are crazy
8-1… I’m sorry did he just day an 8-1 potential?
We dodged a bullet and we need to acknowledge that against a bad Auburn.
He's done! We knew this.
Here’s what we know, the Anderson’s have been prone to injury.
Rodney was cooking folks and went down most important part of the season.
🤘 Ewers is going to dissect chokelahoma secondary
JJ Hester has pulled through and stepped up.
Depth, depth… depth… depth
Absolutely terrible takes on soft tissue and tendons coming from a professional armwrestler here of 20 years. You cant rely on good news either.
Look I’m an ou fan. I’ve been a fan since Barry Switzer. There is no way this team with the players and coordinators they have on offense now is going 8-1. Guys be realistic 6-6 maybe with some good luck 7-5. Love my Sooners but I’m a realist.
I’d look for #82 Carreon to progressively get a bigger roll down the stretch (#9 Hawkins mentioned him in his IG Q&A as the person he’d like to have on a deserted island, said he’s got a lot of stuff) but seriously, I see #81 Ragins, and #7 Kearney making their presence felt. Does anyone get the feeling that #17 Pettaway has been in and out of BV’s dog house, just an observation, his presence and consistency is sorely needed. Coach Jones has gotten more out of less before, so look for some healing (#6 Burks) and the youth to start showing up. Lastly, look for #18 Kaden Helms to get more involved in the passing game, possibly out of 13 personnel. Wild card is how fast #19 Jacobe Johnson gets up to speed and is able to provide any meaningful snaps
You sunshine pumping now!
If we don’t get any more of the vet receivers we will not win the game point blank!
Jay that doesn’t matter that he worked with those young receivers. They need experience out there
Burks going to be back for texas
Can someone please tell me what the heck happened to Gavin Sawchuck. Does he just suck or something because he doesn’t even get snaps.
So are we saying that we probably won’t have burks back for Texas?
I heard he’s sitting out because of “Anxiety” and his psychiatrist won’t let him play
Hawkins throws a softer spiraling ball and the younger receivers can catch it easier. Getting Tatum back is more important than receivers. But burkes is needed too.
With Burke and Pettaway and Hearst and Thompson together can be great. The key is Burke setting up Pettaway, and if we can get him rocking they will set up the other two wide outs and TE. and Running game with Barnes and Tatum.
I have already written nic off for the season. I knew after he played a couple of plays in Tennessee game that he's just not healed up. I had a quad strain when I was young, in my twenties. I could barely run without tremendous pain! It took about 6 months to completely heal up. The absolute worst thing you can do for it is to keep pushing it. I tried that, and that's probably why it took 6 months instead of 4. After it healed, I never had a problem with it again, though.
Naw, we need to roll with the squad from last week. We can bring the injured guys back slowly if at all this year. Nic needs to have a full 💯 percent recovery, then gradually work his way back. We already tried to bring him back once. He wasn't ready yet. Feels like we kinda got what we got. And it ain't bad. There's a reason they're playing at Oklahoma.
Can't wait for this game
Why are you even suggesting that we can win let alone even show up next Saturday with ZERO of the original 4…I have said a million times I want the Golden hat to stay in Norman more than anything because the opposite will allow Texas keep more of the 2025 Texas kids in Texas.. But I rather be honest about next week..We will see. I just pray it's nothing like 2022…

I was unaware anyone thought Nic was returning soon 😂 Love the kid, but he needs to get healthy for life's basic enjoyment…not just football. We need to get some tough rugby dudes. Injuries are serious, but let's be real here, you can be talented yet, if you stay injured, you've gotta look at more important things in life, like living. Not sure what Nic's major is, but I hope he has an exceptional future!
I blame this on the trainers your job as a trainer is to prevent injuries these trainers for Oklahoma I'm not good at all they suck. I don't know what happened Oklahoma in general.
We need him back really bad.
im excited to see nic anderson tomorrow.
Nic is too injury prone and need to get someone for that spot
