The last of us always comes to mind, but if you pay attention I see this is where they got the idea for the black goo on Prometheus and alien covenant, the spores that release from the mushrooms the first guy steps on.

for these who worry that we coud get infected by this fungus,we coudn't,our bodier are to hot for the fungus to live in us,it woud need do be able to live in about 37 celsius
