So if professional wine tasters cant tell the difference between red and white doesn't that kinda invalidate the entire profession?
@ThatOneGirlThatPlays October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
Garlic is healthy for your blood. With as much as I eat, my blood should be nothing but garlic
@ThatOneGirlThatPlays October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
I loved sharkleberry. It was like a berry lemonade and sweet and smooth.
@boriscat1999 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
Sharkleberry Fin is some kind of fruit punch with a lot of citrus and berry flavors to it.
@yoyoschmo1 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
I need to know how many papillae a super taster has that isn’t 35!
@poopwad5206 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
Lol the only reason blue raspberry is blue, is because there were already multiple 'red' flavors, ie: strawberry, cherry, watermelon..

They just made it blue so it would stand out, it's not raspberry mixed with grape.....

I thought mcdonald's sprite taste different because the straw is wider

I'm surprised she didn't mention the significance of smell to the overall sensory experience that commonly call "taste". It plays a quite big role - just think how your sense of taste goes away if you have a stuffed nose. Humans have far more diverse sense of smell than taste (i.e. we can distinguish more smells than just the 5 dimensions of taste).

Obviously, this is exploited commercially - she mentioned that smell of McD chicken nuggets. But we'll probably also acknowledge that the smell of fresh coffee also triggers a "want" reaction.
@corymoore2292 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
Why do I love licking buttholes so much? Like, it’s my favorite thing to do.
@sixbirdsinatrenchcoat October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
In the US, especially in cities, tap soda tastes like sweetened swimming pool 😂 It’s not that it “lacks” the flavor of the bottle. It’s that it is based on whatever local tap water you have.
@janus7000 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
Dyonce : It is possible, but not in USA, due is based in stem cells. A friend has postcovid issues, and after the treatment got 80-90% of recovery.
@theraque1 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
For the Flamin' Hot Cheetos question - the "person" was a lie. It was a marketing gimmick creating the story of a Mexican janitor that contacted the CEO and so on.
@jonoious October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
7:37 Richard montañez made hot Cheetos no?
@martinm.8343 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
I hate when the Halloween season comes along and everyone goes crazy for everything that is Pumpkin-flavored. If you've ever tasted a real pumpkin, it does'nt taste anything like that at all. Real pumpkins taste like sh*t.
@ashdani8561 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
i wasn't expecting most of these questions to be about junk foods with artificial flavors, i was hoping it would be about flavor more generally :/
@PrinceAndrewFucksKids October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
Tubbies always have the most un-lady like voices 😂
@mskaymart October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
I like the sharkleberry flavor 😂. 2 packs and squeeze a fresh lemon in it. It’s bomb!

Am I the only one that thinks this chick reminds me of Kristy Alley?
@bgaskin October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
chatgpt: Sharkleberry Fin is a flavor of Kool-Aid, and it combines the tastes of orange, strawberry, and banana. It has a fruity, tropical profile that's both sweet and tangy.

13:16 With fruit-flavored candies like Starbursts, there's also the fact that so many different fruits are the same color. If strawberry, cherry, and raspberry candies were all red, you probably wouldn't know which one you had until you ate it. The different colors help distinguish them for the sake of convenience.
@LeatherRebel75 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
There is a practical purpose for doing things like blue raspberry or pink strawberry. In both cases, those product lines usually associate red for cherry. So by using a different color, they can differentiate the individual flavors in appearance for the consumer. With Starbursts, for example, you wouldn't want to grab a red piece and not know if it will be cherry or strawberry. The Food Theory Youtube channel did a video about this topic, and it was very well done.
@Novanna52 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
sharkleberry fin = Huckleberry Fin, like in Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain.
@couchx8809 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
she doesn't really get at what a lot of these questions are asking
@gameboy1984 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
What she says about the starburst is not true the strawberry Starburst is not red because the Cherry one is red
@松萧劲 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
She is a taste expert but sounds like she smokes 10 packs a day

There is some evidence to indicate that the tongue IS divided into different areas. For instance, the tip of my tongue is where I keep those names I can't quite remember :)
@AllytheGumby October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
i heard 'tea sexpert'
@aidancallahan6271 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
You can literally learn where they get the flavors of coca cola if you google it. It's pretty much what you should expect.
@NadimRifaiTech October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
Super informative but wish she could taste a strepsil
@thedevilslawyer October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
Dummy they obviously took raspberries and blueberries por blue raspberry
@jinenjuce October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
Fast food companies engineering their food to be as addictive as possible is diabolic. Be careful, people.
@nunobianchi October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
In the case of the "Flaming Hot" flavor, there is an urban legend that... it WAS a guy. He's called Richard Montañez and there's a movie called "Flamin' Hot" that came out in 2023 offering a Hollywoodian version of his journey. Or at least his accounts of it, which no one disputed until very recently
@caoimhin7122 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
You want to throw your brain for a loop, cook soup with purple carrots. It will turn the entire dish purple. It will actually just taste just fine, but the color is very off-putting!
@ebw16256 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
I don’t know the exact flavor of come but I do know that 95% sprite and 5% coke is ginger ale.
@tombruns6156 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
The flavor of cheese is microbial - bacteria and fungi. That's why it-s complex. The microbial community is different in different cheese.
@lucadia7554 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
The info is awesome,... but the vocal fry is killing meeeeeeeeee
@Android480 October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
Basic sour and acidic sour seem identical to me. A finger dip of white vinegar feels identical (albeit stronger) to a finger dip of lemon juice, sans the citrus aromatics. But the actual experience of sour feels the same.

I have a feeling lactic sour is also the same, it’s just much, much weaker and couched in fat. I don’t get the difference.
@SpartanHugs October 6, 2024 - 7:23 pm
I was under the impression Coca Cola contains no cola nut.
