Here are some great games that didn’t quite meet corporations’ financial expectations or whatever.

Immortals reminded me of the old Sega Saturn game called Exhumed. I spent way too much time on that early console FPS game. Loved it!!!
Immortals of Aveum was a good game? It had interesting ideas but the writing was corny as hell and I feel it would probably have been better served as a first person RPG instead like dark messiah.
Maaan, how I've enjoyed Alpha Protocol on PS3. My friends always told me about the weird combat system but I like it
No mention of The Evil Within games??
Only the true ones remember deadly premonition
Splinter cell chaos theory was incredible
Off topic, but the captions are finally accurate.
They're actually coherent and legible. When the hell didnthis happen?
I absolutely loved Beyond Good and Evil. it was so much fun!
Guardians was one of the best games I've played this generation. Alan Wake 2 is a commercial failure right now too.
I so badly want to play and enjoy spec ops the line, but i know what the twist is, so i don't think it will have any where near the impact
What do most of those have in common? First person shooters in a market already flooded with them.
Nobody thought Immortals was good….
Titanfall 😢
Alien Isolation is a masterpiece and the best Alien game, I think we will ever get
As someone who finished Alpha Protocol twice. I would struggle to call it a good game.
I played Beyond Good & Evil in 2006. This game was way ahead of its time. You could capture photos of creatures and locations, and participate in speed boat races as minigames. It was a great adventurous game!
Shout out KoA; one of my favorite games of all time
just for the sake of it, I redownloaded kingdoms of amalur while I was playing dragons dogma 2. After installing it, I saved and exited dragons dogma, and I turned it on. No matter what graphical settings I set up, I could not keep it from progressively losing frames and eventually just sticking to like 3-5 fps. I really don't know why it happens or how, but I really wish I could've gotten to enjoy it.
I loved blacklist.
Vagrant Story. One of the best games ever, one of the best looking PSOne games, it just never seemed to get the recognition by the public. I still play it to this day
Immortals of Aveum is good but the introduction takes a long time and it holds your hand during it, I imagine this made some unwilling to even play it maybe even some would've returned it. It does get good though one you get through the first hour or 2 slog
I gotta say that for me, Gothic 3 is exactly what fits this. Studio had amazing plans for the game but the publisher rushed the release and Piranha weren't able to finish what they wanted. The game was heavily bugged and the gamer community patched it so it is actually amazing, but not many people played it… Still, at the time, this was the most beautiful open world game with a lot of new concepts and to this day I like to come back to it every now and then. The worldbuilding just had you want to explore more. I just wish somebody remastered it. But hey, maybe with the arrival of Gothic 1 remake, I can have this dream in 20 years… 😀
Titanfall 2
Alien Isolation is one of the greatest horror games ever made! Bought it day one and was not disappointed
Kingdoms of Amalur was not a good game. It had a boring story, a lifeless world and the only "RPG" aspect it had, was different skill trees.
Is Immortals of Aveum on there as a joke? It looks like utter schlock. Clicking on things! Bright colors! Spiky armor! Faceless dudes in helmets! Click! Click! Click! Even the highest rated positive Steam reviews are lukewarm, talking about the lousy writing and hours of unskippable cutscenes. And it's an "EA Original", jesus christ. A good shooter should at least have a variety of weapons – not excited to try "click for blue color" "click for green color" and "click for red color". I hope it's better than it looks because it can't be worse. I'm sad you mentioned this game because I wasted minutes of my life looking it up. I want those minutes back.
you guys should do one of these lists for games that came out within the past five years or so. tired of people acting as if low player numbers and low sales means a game isn’t good.
@11:46 – what was that ? Person playing this should be named and shamed.
Apparently I Just love unpopular games
