7 Games That Respected Your Time and We Thank Them

As busy people, it’s important that other people respect what little time we have. This is especially true for videogames, which sometimes forget that not everyone has a spare 130 hours to jump through all their hoops and deal with all their artificial padding. So thank goodness for the videogames that do respect our time, particularly in these 7 ways. Enjoy, and subscribe for more videos like this from Outside Xbox!

Borderlands 3 level 13 skip and recently added level 72 base story skip has been a blessing

Does this mean we will eventually get a "7 games that don't respect your time" cause I have a game that fits that.
Though, it could just be me............... Did anyone else have a problem with save block placement in paper mario: the origami king?

To be honest, Zenless Zone Zero has a really nice approach to busy players. All "daily" stuff can be done in less than 7-8 minutes, it always gives you a notification if you're about to trigger an event and they even implemented a skip button for people who either make an alt account or just don't read dialogues anyway (and then complain that they don't know what is happening).

People play Yakuza in other languages? Weird...

I feel we really under appreciate save systems. Folks, when I was a kid, there was no saving. And passwords? Only a few games had them. Ghouls and Ghosts? Shadow Of The Beast? 360? APB? Nothing, you lost, you restarted.

Can you imagine finishing a game like Skyrim in one sitting? Imagine dying in Dark Souls and restarting EVERYTHING? Nowadays we have save systems, mods to bypass things, cheats, passwords (though obviously rare given that was a retro thing), easy modes, save states, but in the past we had nothing but pain on some of the hardest (and maybe even glitchiest) games.

If youre having issues with cinematic horse riding in RDR2, put the controller down, you fiddling with it makes it worse, just set your waypoint and let it go

Checkpoints BETWEEN the cutscene and the boss fight. I heard your monologue the first 20 times, can we get on with it!?
@DiceSully October 2, 2024 - 10:42 pm
Controversial one. Certain Launchers. Namely those with a "Continue" option. Often it takes time to load game itself, then load your save. The ability to have the game load straight into your save from a launcher that takes seconds to open. So much better. I'm thinking along the lines Paradox with SK3 and Stellaris.

No Radiata Stories which lets you skip Tutorials in NG+ and give you new reactions from the supposed Student and Teacher?
@MemoryMori October 2, 2024 - 10:42 pm
Well if you need to hold hand during a boss fight and need a SAVE every 10 minutes...then yeah, go play God of SoyBois instead of SoulsBorne games...

Whats next? You wanna PAUSE in a multiplayer game?...

Uncharted 4 is also a bit considerate of our time- if you die on a high level of combat difficulty several times, it reminds you that you can lower the difficulty. Honestly, I was quite shocked to see that game mechanic as I've never encountered anything like it!

Yeah the Elden beast and Radagon thing kinda sucks, same with Malikith and Beast Clergyman, should've just been separate boss fights, in the case of Radagon and Elden beast, you wouldn't even need to change anything, they already have their own big health bars. I'm not the biggest fan though of mid boss fight checkpoints though, kinda sounds like the devs don't have faith in their boss design, cause it shouldn't be a hassle to fight a boss, it should be fun even if you lose. In bosses that build on the moveset, it's perfect e.g. Malenia, Radahn, Isshin Sword saint etc, no need for mid game checkpoint cause you need to master the first phase before you can really beat the second phase.

I was annoyed that in FFVII Rebirth that the only warning before you start the end game is “You will not be able to return after landing.” I thought that just meant that you were locked out of fast travel for the rest of the chapter. And now I have to redo the can’t stop won’t stop side quest after completing more than half of it.
