When llm based symbolic intelligence encoder meets unreal 5 then you get unreal 5.5 and 5.6 where you'll be pushing one way with the ps5 and pushing another way wirh the new switch.
NASA computers are fucking awful. They have historically operated on ancient computer software and hardware
whoever designed this deserves to be a millionare.
I understand that good looking games are easier to make now. I'm still a sucker for pretty game worlds
Every eastern European guy who wants to make a crafting, survival, looter-shooter is wetting his pants with free unlimited access to UE5
Pretty cool, too bad they ask you to sign up for communism to be allowed to use it.
Staying below $1k is really easy if you just live a generation or two behind.
Mid-range and up from the previous generation and top-end stuff from 2 generations ago are all typically capable of keeping up with whatever is out at the time.
I recommend watching the remade avatar the Youtuber made his avatar and used Unreal engine to create the environment and made the output so good, it's only 9mins vid.
Game graphics have become secondary to gameplay, because of how much gaming art styles have changed. Like think about a game like Borderlands 3. It came out a little before 2020, and arguably has worse graphics than 2006 Call of Duty games, but it’s the art style that they use, while also adding gameplay that works with it. Sure, it’s no Borderlands 2, but you could apply that example to this regardless, so it just goes to show you that we just want a game that’s fun, not a game that just looks fun
💩👎
Bf4 is better game than bf2023 woke simples
Asmongold doesn't understand that UE5 is a demo engine, not a game engine.
It's about time people have finally caught that it's about gamepley and story not graphics. Well truth is I might be late realizing this, but at least I'm happy 😁
amazing
I thnk graphics peaked as ps4 era
As long as we consume shit, games wont get better.
If everyone started playing from the cloud now, the networks would be clogged instantly. Globally, it is not even known whether it is possible with 5G if people would run games all over the world. At about 7 or 9 g, it's probably the case. But think how much time it will take to provide entire countries with these antennas. Actually, if they did it in your country, they would probably do it quickly and you would be connected, but the rest of the countries would probably not do it quickly. And here the question arises: would it be profitable for them?
So, Asmon want's to sell his own consoles.
Tools like this will make high fidelity easier to achieve and allow more time to develop gameplay mechanics.
You made a point that unreal engine put tools in the hands of more game makers and it will increase the number of good games and crappy games. True, but that’s a cynical pov. What engines like this do is create more competition. AAA companies won’t be the only companies with all the cool toys. The indie dev can make their awesome kick ass idea look amazing and out perform lazy money grinding games. This is a good thing. There will always be sucky games. But more game devs means more games. More games means more good games. And what makes a game good is entirely up to you and your preferences anyway.
The 4090 PCB is small. It's cooler is so big to be able to cool 450-600wats of drawn power. Place a water block and it's a small factor card now.
this is not the future
we've had photorealism before UE5 was released
why do you think CGI looks so convincing in films
It's great oportunity for devs to focus on core-gameplay and mechanics instead of graphics
