i miss when IGN told the truth
I haven't played this game and I've heard it's an OG in the world of survival shooters. But let's be honest this is like a budget version of Metro Exodus

wow that observation has really marked the age of this video. Half of every AAA game this past decade has fit that description at this point, especially after the success of Fallout 3.
Even given the fact that this came out 9 years ago, this is a really solid review!

Especially when you don't aim down the sights…… this guy makes Ben Stein look like Pee Wee Herman.
You forgot about the biggest positive moment. Atmosphere. This game is one of the most atmospheric games for me still after 13 years. Folklore, sitting with other stalkers by the campfire and listen to thier puns or beautiful guitar plays, walk around and be scared of every unfamiliar sound, crawl in the bushes far away to get rid of enemy sightings, exploring scary underground tunnelz or just enjoy eerie night time is priceless.
Talks about how solid the shooting is while showing that even after 16 shots to the head the enemy is still shooting at you. To me that is just bad game coding.
