PlayStation 5 Pro Disc drives Sold Out?

Not sold out here in Sweden, every store and webstore have them, my favorite webtore have over 100 in stock.

Tbh idk yet about it but nah, im kinda still mad about the homescreen setup etc. No wallpapers, no menus like ps4,ps3. Been waiting for them to add it but nope, i liks playstation but they not keeping a good feel anymore.

Let this sink in. When the 3DO launched 31 year's ago, it was $699.00. It also came with a disc drive. 😱

When I brought my pS5 slim, I came out of 760 because I added a warranty.
I could’ve used that to upgrade my PC even more.
I just want to play all my PlayStation games that I brought on my PC!

I would only buy a PS5 pro if they do a price drop for $600 and with a disc drive. If they don't then I'll just get a PS5 Slim edition.

I believe that people get caught up in the is it more powerful conversation. To use it for talking points. The Switch is weaker than both other consoles but outsells them both constantly.

i'm at the point that this generation will be my last to collect for, after this i'm just gonna invest in a good gaming pc

To me this will be a console midlife crisis for Sony.

If you look at the breakdown of PlayStation's revenue, you see what the problem is: the big money isn't in the games themselves. The money is in digital add-on content and subscriptions. That's why they axed Japan Studio, that's why they pivoted to games as a service, that's why they freaked when COD was bought by Microsoft. That's why games are $70. The PS5 Pro and really this whole detachable drive idea is the sum of all fears. It's a system for the disposable digital content whales who play the same games every year and line the pockets of Sony. They are the people who benefit most from fps boost and frankly those gamers and PS need better framerates to remain competitive with PC. They can cry all they want about game development costs, Sony slashed that budget by the time the PS5 came out. They bragged to their investors about that fact. They put out less than five 1st party titles per year. They invest less than 8% of their revenue on new games and to make matters worse, the advertising budget is usually in the neighborhood of half the cost for each game. For the old heads, the reckoning is upon us. We have to vote with our wallets, and we have to encourage indy developers to make their home on PC and for physical to live on there as well.

This generation is the worst I’ve seen, Sony needs to stop with their greedy bs.

A disc drive has next to nothing in it, unlike a console, if Sony had any brains they would simply up the production of the disc drives and keep the market flooded with them. This would burn the scalpers and in event they stopped moving Sony could just use them on the PS6.
