Unboxing and first gameplay impressions of brand new portable Sony handheld not-a-console – the PlayStation Portal! It’s not a next gen PSP or PS Vita. You will need a PS5 and Wi-Fi to use this device to play PlayStation 5 games. Connection issues may occur during remote play. But when it works, it kinda just works.

PS. You can charge a bit more than $200, it's ok.

anyway, why are they making such devices? They should have made it play at least PSP and PS Vita games in addition to Remote Play AND PS Plus Premium streaming. In fact, with current technology they should be able to make it play at least PS4 games natively. The way it's now it's quite useless unless you are in a place with perfect network conditions. Even at your own home if you go too far away from the router you'll start losing wifi signal. Practically its only use is when someone's watching football and you want to play on the PS5 at the same time. Won't even let you play when someone else is already playing on your PS5.
btw weird that over the Internet you have input lag but not so much output lag. I usually had the other way around with PS Now / PS Plus Extra
