Ben Johnson play calling just looked wrong they ran mostly shot gun so it looks predictable . That big play to jamo down the sideline. Was built off under center play action
Lmao you guys and your christian retreat shirts. $135 for what? Yall are scammy man
It was all play calling. Cost them the game period. There starting to play to certain players. That cost most teams when they do that trying to keep players happy and not worried about winning
A doctor practices medicine, and 15% of the time, he/she gets it wrong. An offensive coordinator practices offense and 15% of the time, the Detroit Lions on the team get it wrong.
It’s not just on Goff! The real issue is the play calling and a lack of toughness on this team. We don’t have a true, chain-moving wide receiver who can make tough catches in critical moments. We need a big, tall WR who can outmuscle defenders and extend drives when it matters most. Our offense feels predictable, and we’re missing that spark to grind out tough yards. LaPorta, who showed promise, is in a sophomore slump, not living up to last season's performance. The offense lacks grit and physicality, relying too much on finesse and not enough on hard-nosed football. Without someone to consistently move the chains, we’re stalling when we should be closing games out. This team needs a physical WR presence to complement the rest of the offense and inject some real grit back into the game.
Just trying to be non biased here. I dont know if goff has looked this bad since his first season here. Like even in year 2 when we were 1 and 6 it was the defense that was the issue and goff looked good.
He’s bad against the blitz
Tampa Bay is no joke … they were the better team Sunday .
Fixed RIGGED .
Maybe get Sam laporta involved? 2 games and 4 targets? Coming off of a 100 yard 10TD rookie season.
Ben Johnson was terrible it might be time to get him out of here
I think Goff wants to compete with Kelsy and Taylor with his sexy GF there. Does he have to kiss here between plays>
If your a coach and you have Montgomery and Gibbs as your running backs, and you run the ball only 7 times in the first half, you should look for another job 💩
Goff looked liked Joey Blue Skies ! Not good!
I am sick of this poor coaching.
Did you SAY the real reason he was bad? Was he injured? Did somebody eat his cat? What?
I noticed that. They were not only passing way too much, but they were running almost every play out of shotgun. I will say the routes a lot of times looked very simplistic and weren't challenging Tampa in the secondary. I can't say they every really tried establishing the run. It seemed like they were calling plays like they were down 3 TDs the whole game.
They should have ran the ball more I know they were having problems but you have to take a couple more shots into the end zone
We had like eight possessions and we didn't try throwing it into the end zone one time that's because Jared Goff can't throw the f**** ball
Someone like Tom Brady would audibles out of these plays called in!?!?!
I mean, we are the hunted now, teams are taking us serious and will be really guarding our receivers. I was surprised with all the throws. Way too much.
Everyone in the NFL knows how to beat Goff: PUT PRESSURE ON HIM and he will cave like a cheap suit. Paying Goff 50 million per year was a big mistake especially under a no trade contract. Unless his line gets better, this team will be in a big hole by Thanksgiving. His contract extension while he was in LA resulted in the same situation. He got the money and took a dive. What was really discouraging is now that the Lions are playing good teams every week, they mostly all have good defenses. Stay tuned. Goff is NOT a pressure QB under a strong line.
Played like crap on offense and still almost won. Not all bad
Don't understand why nobody ever mentions scheduling…when you have a crap year, the next year you play easy teams i.e. 22-23 season. 23-24 season, Detroit fields a good team and results were obvious. Take the division, playoffs, tough schedule following season…we'll see the results at the end if the year…stay tuned…
It’s week 2.
He is not a mobile quarterback and he soft all u gotta do is pressure him
Its been 2 games. That is all.
Ben Johnson had a game plan to not run up the middle and didn't deviate even after Vita was out. I think that might be the issue with the third quarter anemia
Ben Johnson may be a one trick poney. Teams might be figuring him out
Terrible play calls
That OT "win" last week looks even worse considering how bad the Rams got mauled by the Cards. The Bucs are an average team, but the lions made the Bucs look good by comparison.
Guess the Lions are back to being..the detroit lions. It was fun while it lasted.
Jared Goff was throwing off his back foot most of the day. He went through a couple of games doing that last year
Goff out there looking like a rookie… We will be in big trouble if he doesn’t pull his shit together! GB out there getting wins with Malik freaking Willis, wtf…
The RB screen from Shotgun over and over weren't working early and they just kept getting called. Goff is locking onto Jamo. It's great we want these playmakers to get the ball, but this is a slide into SOL territory. RB screens just don't work, and if they aren't working in the first half, then adjust to something else. The Bucs D had a number of injuries and we looked pathetic against them.
Where the hell was David Montgomery. We won’t win throwing the ball 50 times. Need to keep them honest. This was on Ben Johnson
Bucs defense has nothing to do with it? Who knew?
Never threw into the end zone. Huh?
I'm concerned. No mobility at all. Poor decisions. Bush league stuff. And I like him but…
First play of the Lion's offense was obvious Pass Interference and or Illegal Contact, – no call, leading to an interception, – that got into his head, no matter what he says publicly…
not to mention, right after the int Williams gets an illegal hands to the face RIGHT AT THE PLACE OF THE TACKLE, and no call their either… It was a clear Personal Foul and unnecessary roughnesstwo NON calls on the first play …as if the refs were not watching, were not there, or did not care to officiate the rules for the Lions. The entire game had the lions getting the calls on them and TB got away with holds, illegal contact and Pass Interferences. If you go back and watch Laporta gets held the entire game and on the last play/ series he was bear hugged in the endzone… No call. The coaches did screw the team, players choked at times, but imo that game should be reviewed by the League Officials for bullshit! If you went by the betting world, lions had the biggest point spread in their favor… Losing would favor the bookies… $ was the plan… You cannot convince me otherwise. It looked just like the old days with Calvin, Tate and Stafford. Accountability is only a thing for players and coaches, not the league and the officials. While Goff looked to suck, I see why he couldn't get things done. Teams that get calls then make the next play can win, Teams that don't get calls have to try to win without fairness. Not trying to bitch, this happens to any team when it is needed, but it just is not even and fair, and the league should/ needs to be exposed. Where is the officiating accountability. Please add challenges to the official's no calls… Fix it so it works fairly for everyone, rules are not just for one team, and technology is here to get it right. Its tiring listening to the announcers see it, say it and justify it away as if it is meaningless. Brightside: …Hutch is the man, and the Lions kicking team will never make the same mistake again, whether coaches said to do it or not. …also Godwin is really good, Baker played better than I thought he was and he earned my respect, and Boles is a really good coach.Bucs played tight coverage. They hit Lions WRs. Blame St Brown if you need to blame someone. That had to be the worst game of his life. How many drops and letting the DB get the Int, damn. Tampa played defense the way it should be played. Hope Aaron Glenn was taking notes
