I guess Skies of Arcadia Legends counts as this.. (released 2 years after the original and got compressed to heck so they could fit bonus content on it, compressing half of the orchestral music was what they did in order to fit more gameplay content)

Also, I grew up with PS1 frogger ( i played it on a PS2 Slim) as my first game, so 2:57 made me laugh.

On your list cross-generation games from 8:10-8:24, I also have a few cross gen I want to add just for fun that released between PS3 and PS4, tough most of them are Japanese games and either their PS3 versions remained in Japan or they were never released in America as a whole (regardless of which version). Theses include Tales of Berseria, Yakuza Kiwami 1, Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakkuu 2016, Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends and Empires, Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth, Chaos;Child, Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book, Yakuza 0, Nights of Azure, etc. The PS3 was still getting games in Japan until 2017! There were also a few original Japan-exclusive visual novels that were originally released between PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita from 2013-2016. This just goes to show that not only do consoles sometimes refused to die, but that there is still an audience playing on last-gen hardware and are still buying new games for them.

I have nothing newer than a PS2 and I am perfectly content with classic consoles. Graphics mean absolutely nothing to me if the game is no fun, modern gaming is the same games repeated with a different coat of paint. 3rd person shooters.

8:40 Scott.....don't punish and degrade yourself by owning or playing games on an xbox.....it's the inferior console. Plus, unlike Nintendo and Playstation who built and earned their success.....xbox tried to buy success. And 24 years later they have failed and are in survival mode, they had no choice but to put their exclusives on other platforms. So as if there already wasn't enough reasons to not waste money on an xbox. They are now more irrelevant than ever.

I'm so glad I waited for the Tears of the Kingdom OLED Switch and the PS5 slim. All the quirks have been worked out and I didn't have to deal with all the issues early adopters did because they were desperate and had no patience.

I find it interesting that the Xbox 360 version was handled by Bluepoint Games, a developer known for putting out remasters. God of War, Metal Gear, Uncharted, hell they made Shadow of the Colossus and Demon Souls from the ground up for PlayStation. They are a fucking fantastic team when it comes to remastering classics.

The only times I've seen cross-generation done well are having 2 separate releases for the same franchise that indirectly flow into each other, specifically Assassin's Creed Rogue and Unity, and then having a free next-gen upgrade included and the DLC cycle being locked to the next-gen version like with Final Fantasy 7 Remake and most other games we got towards the end of the PS4/Xbox One era. Attempting to put a game onto a system that doesn't have the means to run it properly or run it full stop is a waste of resources, especially if you can't bring save data across to the next version if you do upgrade like with Black Ops 3 on PS3/Xbox 360 to PS4/Xbox One

3 years after this video's release, aside from Ratchet Rift Apart, Spider-Man 2, and Returnal, most PS5 games are STILL cross generation games so the PS5 is just pointless to me. Even Demon Souls can be played on my PS3

I don't know where I've been with the whole watching YouTube religiously for quite some time. But I'm glad I've found The Woz. Cannot wait to checkout his other videos...hopefully he'll talk about Gex a few more times
