This didn’t scare 21-year-old singer-songwriter Maria Petra Brandal when she entered The Voice Norway. Her original song ‘Lonely’ was so good, Coach Espen even said it was the best he’d ever heard on The Voice. The blind audition was so beautiful. So heartbreaking. Matoma could feel her pain from the very first phrase. Before long you could also see tears well up in Yosef's eyes. Bravo Maria.

I’ve read some of the comments and I can only agree. This young lady has something that is happened to her or that she has seen or maybe she’s an old soul. I’m not really sure but she’s perfect. Her voice is perfect. Her emotions are perfect. She’s just like an angel to me, I lost my father to suicide when he was 44, my mother to suicide when she was 72, my brother to suicide when he was 46, and last year I lost my son at the age of 22 to suicide. my grandmother died a few days after my son. I know it broke her heart. She buried her daughter, her grandson, and her great grandson. She had a very close relationship with my son. There are no words that can explain how incredibly awful and painful this is. I’ve been living with it for so long. I would not share this normally except for a private group on FB for parents of children that committed suicide, but I had all these songs picked out for my family members, and somehow they all ended up in this grouping of songs that she sang throughout that season. Some days it is comforting to listen to everything. And someday I can’t listen. 😢💔

These foreign judges/coaches are just idiots, they turn their chair because they like a song before they can hear if the person can sing 2 sentences on pitch, before they know if they’ll get brittle and go flat on high notes in a chorus. They always overreact before the singer has proven anything.
