I don't think the game was poor quality, per se, I just don't think people really cared about it. A steam debut of under 1k players is terrible, especially for live service games. It's not like The Day Before where it was blatant misrepresentation or angering people, it was just never picked up by most and it wasn't sustainable. I think it lies on the genre being too jampacked already and the marketing for this game was minimal.

the game looked really good, but the characters looked like guardians to the galaxy, and the gameplay was doing what a lot of other games are doing now. i think if they made it a different kind of game that was unique it would have worked out a little better.

but nah i've never heard of a game getting shut down that quick either. not even a beta, unless in was an unlicensed game that was taken down because of copyright or something.

The more life service games exists the less people will have a life to play them all. It's literally impossible. And the life service market is already largley absorbed by mobile gacha games, to the point where they're coming out on PC and consoles now too.

What happened was that Concord was found dead on arrival with pants full from its evacuated bowels. The funeral is next Saturday.

Generic look characters, added nothing to the genre, and came out of the gate with a piss poor first impression to the audience. You only get one chance to make a 1st impression and this game just felt like corporate slop. All of their characters feel like background characters in a low budget sci-fi film. I couldn’t imagine anybody wanting to cosplay as a yellow trash can, or a knock off purple hair Navi, or any of the other unappealing characters.

Yeah i was super interested when I saw the trailer, and then they revealed it was a pvp game like marvel rivals that isn't free to play. It completely lost interest in it just like I didn't touch overwatch 2 cause no PvE. Hopefully publishers will eventually get the message that not everything needs to be a battle royale.

No way they cancelled it!!! That’s crazy.. after they paid all the creators to promote it. It looked cool. Not bad enough to get the axe. Should have just been a free to play with some paywall stuff for them to get their money.

They shouldve just completed the Last of Us 2 Multiplayer like we told em too. But they wanted to try and make it a live service.............

It was in development for 8yrs! If it released 8yrs ago it could've had success. It just feels out of date idk

I'm sad for the developers who worked on it but not for the executive who pushed for this. People have been saying they didn't want it. Now what will happen to Fair Game$? The irony is that games like Elden Ring, black myth, and hogwarts legacy have sold millions. Somehow they need to find a balance between gake development and profit.

When I watched the trailer Live, I thought the game looked like Mass Effect, like it was going to have an awesome 25 hour long campaign, and then the last chunk of the trailer they showed the hero shooter gameplay. Trailers need to stop screwing around like that. My friends also thought that surely there was going to be a single player campaign.
