What's your thoughts on the Y700? This might be the best tablet we've ever seen for retro gaming.

Minor Correction: The tablet comes with a 68w, not 28w charger.
@ceplok_ceplok September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
Any of you guys own this device with its stylus? Hows the pen work on this device? How abt the palm rejection as well?
@-ShinTV- September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
Ugh I wish the 512gb version wasn't sold out. D:
@boszyumin5146 September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
Where can i buy?
@MyTechTaste September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
8" Android tablets with powerful soc are rare these days, glad Lenovo still has them. I plan to buy the 2024 version.
@peejae082004 September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
Can you attach a usb-c controller and play DS/3DS since it has a usb-c port on the side (on portrait mode) or is that just for charging?
@droo3010 September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
This is old by now and the prices haven't dropped yet. Price is still as high as it was more than 1 year ago sadly. It's late and bad time to buy it since it will drop in price anytime soon when new model arrives
@MarzX83 September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
Good Review. i was considering getting an Odin 2 but i like this much better just because of the larger screen.
@RizalBoon September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
I heard Galileo G8 has an USB-C connection issue with Y700 2023. Did you faced any issue when u tried moonlight in the video? If not, I will try to look for this tablet in my area.
@rivdakid September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
I feel like a tablet would be sick for ds which is what i probably play the most
@ruxcooking September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
Before getting my steamdeck I did something similar with a tablet and geforcenow . Since getting my steamdeck I hardly ever stream games but still use my tablet a lot as an all around portable for work, a second monitor , and content consumption because my eyes aren't getting any younger. Emulators still look great on the bigger screen.
@chocho2188 September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
Great review Derek.
@Fr0z3nH3Vrt September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
I read somewhere that they're making 2024 version with gen3 processor
@energuminum September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
Very nice, I prefer devices with built-in controls, but the big screen and performance is definitely interesting. Great video!
@matthewschmitt4421 September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
Been watching this tablet since the 2022 version, its exciting to see I was right about this being a BEAST

Are you sure that Kirby wasn't just compiling its shaders?
@COACTUSFECI75 September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
hmm iam homeless, i have an 100bugs tablet...thats crap...this legion tab would be perfekt for all my doings...but soooorry i dont pay 500 bugs for that.100-200 more and i can buy a windows handlheld...
@uncaringbear September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
I would recommend also checking out the upcoming Alldocube iPlay 60 mini Pro. It's about half the price of the Y700 but obviously packs more modest, but still capable hardware, such as the G99 SoC. The Y700 is great for the high end, but I think the Alldocube fits nicely in the midrange category.There seems to be a growing amount of interest in this tablet, and the previous version was well-received.
@KawikaLee408 September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
apologies in advance for spazzing out. i've had this model for a while now and i absolutely LOVE it. i went through a couple of tablets that sucked before i got this for $330, ordered directly from lenovo on aliexpress. anything else comparable in power and features i looked at was $500+ easy. it literally can not be beat. with it supporting a smart stylus with some nice little features for it, it is a true ipad mini competitor, in many ways it's even better, much better. one thing that's great is lenovo's software is actually very feature rich with the ability to force apps into resizable windows, as well as a desktop mode. i play a few idle games so I can have one full screen and run my 2 other games in windows all day long with zero issues, and it has enough power to play pretty much whatever you want emulation/game wise. i love love love it

it has a charge protector feature that maintains a 55% charge and when you're in game you can do bypass charging from the slide out menu. i basically dock it at my desk all day and don't use the battery at all. i got a cheap ventilated case on aliexpress for like $2 instead of the official lenovo one for $30 and it makes a huge difference. none of the heat is trapped in the case and it keeps your hands off of the device so it never feels warm. i also got a keyboard case for like $10-$15. it's very small but it works very well. adjustably backlit with white or colored lights, track pad and shortcuts. its awesome. the stylus on aliexpress is like $10 as well. the only bummer is there is no place to store the stylus on the tablet. i remedied that by gorilla glueing some magnets to my cases. a bit ghetto but i dont care, it adds character and makes it more of my own.

i got the chinese rom which is usually what's recomended by a lot of people. i was able to enable google play services in the settings, download microsoft edge from the chinese app store, use that to go online and download the google play store apk and i was all good to go. i heard they're going to come out with a 2024 model which will obviously be a step up. that will be cool to see but i literally do not care as this can do anything and everything i want and more. once that comes out the 2023 model will surely be on sale for even cheaper and that would be a hell of a steal.
@robert.sec2 September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
I just bought this, and now i'm kicking myself over not just waiting a couple months. Oh well.
@user-li6ns2lk3z September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
i still have my ipad 3 too! too bad ut cant run major apps i use anymore. the speaker suddenly broke it still can be used as emailing,browsing and music player device knowing its slow
@BigSopapilla September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
1st of all this was a great video, nice to see you on the channel. I've been using this tablet as my main streaming and emulation device for about a month and it's been fantastic other than 1 issue. Some games have small stutters when the ROM is stored on the micro SD card. Virtua Tennis World Tour for PSP, which you showed, is a perfect example and has a slight stutter after every point. No such issue when the ROM is on the internal storage.
@Stunnax757 September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
The razor edge is sold as a "tablet". AMOLED screen.
@JB-tp6uj September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
I've tried to tell people that this tablet is a hidden gem for emulation and streaming. It's a better option than the Steam Deck because of the screen and battery life for those uses. I have a Razer Kishi Ultra with my tablet. Yes, it's expensive, but I believe it's the best telescopic controller right now: full size analog sticks, best d-pad, good buttons and ergonomics.
@MikeySaxMusic September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am

@gregorybolivar5712 September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
I am glad you mentioned Ipad Mini... on the Ios side of thing... The downside... No MicroSD-Card Slot for those with a large library for Emulation gaming...
Meaning...
It tops at 256gb internal storage... So...
Can't rock that 1tb LexaR... Samsung Evo... Sandisk extended storage...

@Kajukota September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
Hold on, you can just use the Gamesir G8 with no connectivity issues? Mine doesn't connect, as it seemingly only wants to charge from the tablet. Did you have to update the firmware or something?
@Theskullsplaylist September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
yea i think Samsung did way with nice smaller tablets i got the tab 7 but it is what it is with how things are going
@garryw1974 September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
Lenovo should make 2 different versions of the Lenovo go handheld,one windows based as we already have and also make one android based with a snapdragon 8 gen3 for people who want great battery life.
I would much rather a android version of the Lenovo go with a snapdragon 8 gen3 any day.
@NeoSpartan117 September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
This tablet is a great travel companion, tablet is great for streaming or productivity but then add a controller and you have a solid, big screen handheld.
@codylester9081 September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
I would like to see a telescoping controller that is more D-pad centric also. I ordered a G8 plus for mine
@codylester9081 September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
I got one for $240 on AliExpress, then got 12% back in PayPal rewards. I’m very excited to get my hands on it
@KyleRuggles September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
Great review!
@tencheenian September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
the 2024 one might come out another 2 months...
@stevenhoule1866 September 2, 2024 - 11:22 am
At $350... You might as well get an Odin 2 or a steam deck. Both which are more powerful and cheaper and will give a better gaming experience.
