Small Details You Missed In The Back To The Future Movies | Netflix

by admin

There’s a lot to love about the Back to the Future trilogy, from the time travel hijinks to the amazing score and everything in between. It’s been more than 30 years since the first film, and we can’t stop watching these movies. No matter how many times you’ve seen them, though, there are still some details you may have missed in the Back to the Future films.

The Back to the Future set designers started dropping plot hints within the first minute of the film. The opening scene in Doc’s home shows dozens of synchronized ticking clocks. This is a tribute to the classic 1960 time travel movie The Time Machine, in which eccentric inventor H. George Wells has a similar collection of aligned timepieces.

Doc’s collection looks pretty random, but one of the clocks gives away a major scene from the end. At about a minute in, we see a miniature model of a clock tower with a man holding onto the minute hand. Like all but one of Doc’s clocks, the time on this one is 25 minutes slow. Later in the movie, in 1955, Doc Brown dangles before the face of the Hill Valley clock tower as he tries to connect the cable to channel the lightning bolt.

However, this prop wasn’t made for Back to the Future. It was a real clock made in tribute to a different movie: the 1923 silent film Safety Last!, in which actor Harold Lloyd also clung to the minute hand of a clock above a busy street. Actors named Lloyd can’t seem to avoid clock towers.

The song they play in 1885 sounds nothing like Doubleback to me.

@BrosWildAdventures August 30, 2024 - 11:25 pm

The first comment regarding the time on the clocks is incorrect. If you look at the clock tower one, its the same time as all the other clocks (ie. 7:53am)

I never realized the kid was bouncing on Moon Shoes. I thought it was a pogo stick.

I’ve always wondered about the dialogue in Part 1 when Marty tells Doc that George never stood up to Biff in his life. Doc responds: “Never?” Marty responds, “No, why?”. Doc then shakes his head. It always seemed to me that there was more to this exchange, but I’ve never read or seen a deleted scene explaining it.

i saw Huey Lewis live and when he introduced “Power of Love”, he said that when he wrote that song years ago, he never knew he’d be singing it his whole life. It was funny. The whole audience just went wild singing and dancing to the song. It was amazing.

"Man holding onto the minute hand" Surely that's Harold Lloyd's famous clock scene? Did you even research?

The deloreon was destroyed by a train and the new Time Machine was a train

Albert Einstein wasn’t an inventor.

@nuketube5211 August 30, 2024 - 11:25 pm

We only see Marty's adventure. Doc's adventure was totally different. Doc traveled all over time and had to save Marty every time he died, which was a lot.

The set designer doesn't dress the set that's the art director and set dresser.

@gswithen August 30, 2024 - 11:25 pm

There used to be a shadow in the background right after Doc throws his gun before being shot. It was speculated to be the other Marty up by the mall sign. I believe this was debunked by the filmmakers as a mistake and I think they've digitally removed it now.

I believe making a movie or movie franchise is an difficult task but adding such amazing details, easter eggs and references is an another intelligent approach 💯👌… Truly Fascinating after listening to these details.

Fun fact, the red Gibson ES-345 that belonged to Marvin Berry didn't exist in 1955. It didn't come out until 1959.

The clock scean at the begining of BTTF 1 shows doc brown has already time traveled . so there are multiable time loops.

Steven Spielberg really did meet the real John Ford for really reals, so working with actors who'd worked with John Ford was a coming full circle situation.

2:22 But no Tesla. You'd think he'd prefer Tesla over Edison.

Doc burned down his house to collect insurance money to finance the Time Machine . That’s how he was able to grab the photos of the other inventors before the place burned down

Another interesting thing about "Jaws 19" in the second movie is that while imagining that the future would have a literal 19th edition of a groundbreaking blockbuster film after 18 predecessors is ridiculously exaggerated and clearly meant as a joke the writers snuck in, it totally predicted the idea that starting from the 2000s onwards, the concept of making sequels and remakes would become insane in Hollywood to the point of losing total creativity with originality like the groundbreaking films from the beginning of classic cinema to the 90s.

@WakoDoodle August 30, 2024 - 11:25 pm

Isaac newton being in the mansion but not in the present time might be related to the mansion burning down. Either he lost him in the fire or one of doc's experiements were inspired by or used some of his creations which caused the fire in the first place; which is why he isn't in the present. He likely lost either his faith or the picture in the fire.

Hello ! I just want to ask a question, because in this film (number 1) I saw 2 police womens, 👮🏼‍♀️👮🏼‍♀️ (a blonde and a brunette, both had their hair in a pretty long braid). But when it comes a police woman, isn't she always a couple with a police man ?? 👮‍♂️ They were only 2 girls , without a boy together. Can someone tell me??

@DAWOL2025-fs1ve August 30, 2024 - 11:25 pm

Doc Brown almost burned his house down in 1955 when he showed Marty the plan with the models and the Delorean catches on fire
"You really instill me with a lot of confidence, Doc!"
Don't forget Mattel. Their logo is on the hovee board
Too bad they haven't eradicated America's fraud advertising problem. $1.99 is how the evil nutcases say $2. If that is only a piece of the price and not the full price. So the evil scam job translated to the truth, $1.99 = $2.13
